For offseason conversation...

is there much difference between 150 vs 160+ in punting or kicking? I bring this up as my punter has a little more than 150 punting, and yet his averages are not much off from guys with 160+.

I guess this is a debate where looking at coffin punts, mode, and some other statistical items could assist.

The real question is where would the points be better spent. I can't say that I believe they'd be better elsewhere.

No clue as well... and that is the sad part about K/P... More experimental builds with high Strength, Jumping, or something else is needed...

Also, why aren't you a mod yet for this area...

I'm not convinced you need more than 130 in punting, which is why I'm currently building a player that is going to be at that level but 110 strength.

K & P builds don't mean anything. As long as you've got 70+ strength and 120+ kicking/punting (Yes, both are extremely low), you will perform just as well as a dot that has 100 strength and 150 kicking/punting. The difference is absolutely nothing in terms of performance. Vision and Confidence matter very little as well.

I'd consider building a K with end-game attributes of 70 confidence, 70 vision, 70 strength and EVERYTHING else in kicking. Should round out at about 175+ kicking.

While I agree with you in general Forbin, especially with kickers kicking FGs/XPs (TBs are a different beast) I'd be interested in seeing a 120 punting 70 strength dot that can manage 50+ ypp even on a bad team.

Yeah.. My post was a little on the extreme side. I mean, it's evident that strength does alter kick distance, but how much? Who knows.

conf/vis are another matter entirely.
