It's a shame, but honestly I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. When you have a team that gets its ass kicked week in and week out, and you have little chance to improve, its tough to want to keep playing. Recruiting is impossible since its so hard to recruit to play for a losing team, you can't make any money selling tickets since no one will come to your games, and half your players want to leave anyway.

It's nice to see teams stick it out through the rough spots, and even improve, like Martha's Vineyard. Even Las Vegas was 1-15 last year- although they have a single owner for all their players- not much needed for recruiting or retention.

Happened to the Nighthawks last season, Won two games, kept everyone and were demoted, and former team players acutally wanted to help the team out the people brought in high level talent for cheap prices

what's the point? It's not like ha can take that money and go buy enough players to become better.

man I hate to see that in BBB 16. I was looking in the trade block forums yesterday and I saw at least 3 teams being gutted.

I agree with Tom 100% on this one. He wasn't going to be able to recruit. His team's morale had to be really down. He did the best thing in my opinion. He set up the next owner with plenty of cash to try and rebuild with.

We are NOT being gutted. Only players getting cut/traded are the ones that want to go. I am taking over as of today. If my players want to stay then they will. Expect us to be competitive in the near future. I have alot of players that want to be added. The one thing the previous owner left me with was cash.

We have alot of good Defensive players and some nice players on O. Just wait. This team will no longer be in the cellar. Give us time. You got lucky you already played us.

Watch out, Charlie Weis might be hired as the coach. That $7M might be enough to pay for his food.
