I've been in some discussions with other agents about O-Linemen development philosophies and wanted to get some other opinions. What's the best way to develop an O-Lineman for a balanced offense. Although (and unfortunately) a run heavy team has been proven to be very successful, a balanced offense is always more fun to watch, IMHO. How should one go about building an O-Line for this?

A couple thoughts I've had:

1) Build O-Linemen who are built to run block (primary strength, secondary blocking, agility, speed) w/ Pass Blocking Archetypes.

2) Build O-Linemen who are built to pass block (primary blocking and agility, secondary strength) w/ Run Blocking Archetypes

3) Build O-Linemen who are balanced blockers (primary blocking and strength, secondary agility) w/ Run or Pass Blocking Archetypes.

Any other ideas?

If there's an active forum with O-Line discussions, can someone direct me?

140 strength
100 agility
85 blocking
75 speed
60's for vision, confidence, stamina

with 2 pieces of HBC gear and at least 1 other piece of AEQ

Should probably go with FS as the extra SA and for OGs and possibly ROT that should be where the extra piece of AEQ is

Anything higher than the numbers above is a +, and strength is probably the one you want higher. If you can find a way to get strength to 150 and have the other numbers, that would probably be ideal, but I'm not sure that would be possible.

That seems fairly easy to hit, actually. I just ran it through quickly, but with a VA bonus to agility or strength, this build would be able to get fairly close.

Player Build: Blink RG2
Position: g_run_blocker
Level: 73
Bonus Tokens: 1200

Attributes:
strength : 97.82 (so, ~143+Workout Warrior)
speed : 76.16
agility : 83.16 (~95-98ish)
stamina : 61.16
vision : 61.82
confidence : 61.82
blocking : 85.83

Top SA Tree: | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Bottom SA Tree: | 3 | 10 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Additional SA Tree: | 7 | --first step or whatever, no aeq

I have 75 speed and 8 first step on two Pro players and only see some value when picking up pass blitzes. Sometimes my ROT gets out on screen passes to make a block but the path is usually too far for him to make it to the defenders. Unless there is something I am missing, I have not seen anything that makes me think 75 speed on an O lineman is any better than 68 speed.

why higher agility than blocking? Doesnt higher blocking allow a lineman to hold his block longer?

Why higher Strength than Carrying? Why higher Speed than Tackling?
