I've been in some discussions with other agents about O-Linemen development philosophies and wanted to get some other opinions. What's the best way to develop an O-Lineman for a balanced offense. Although (and unfortunately) a run heavy team has been proven to be very successful, a balanced offense is always more fun to watch, IMHO. How should one go about building an O-Line for this?
A couple thoughts I've had:
1) Build O-Linemen who are built to run block (primary strength, secondary blocking, agility, speed) w/ Pass Blocking Archetypes.
2) Build O-Linemen who are built to pass block (primary blocking and agility, secondary strength) w/ Run Blocking Archetypes
3) Build O-Linemen who are balanced blockers (primary blocking and strength, secondary agility) w/ Run or Pass Blocking Archetypes.
Any other ideas?
If there's an active forum with O-Line discussions, can someone direct me?
