Warrior General Games

I know there are many tournaments to host this season but I was wondering if you would agree to join a tournament where only the run would be allowed.
somewhat in the spirit of Air-attack but reversed.

the rules:
* You MUST run 100% for 4 quarters
*any types of runs are allowed (HB/FB/QB)
* you can use only one or two formation per quarter and you can't use a formation in more than one quarter.
(If you choose to use two formations during a quarter. You can't reuse neither one nor the other in another quarter)
* Every WR slot in the formation must have man coverage on it and would have to be covered by either a safety or CB
* punt are not allowed
* Any team that throws the ball more than 8 times in the game will be disqualified.
(Sometimes the sim calls for a pass on its own,as usualy we can overlook a couple of randomness, but if a pass play is deliberately called that will lead in disqualification.)

1st season this is actually a viable idea since you can't just slam it every play for a first down.

I would help with this...all of my teams are in if they want to be

I have been waiting on a tourney like this for a while, so count my Bears in! And count my other 2 Silver teams in if you need more teams.

Might I make a suggestion to make it more interesting...

Not only make people run it all 4 quarters, but require people to use only one formation per quarter and you can't use the same formation in more than one quarter. This way, you wont have SI & IF slams all game. This makes things interesting as you have to use more plays than you would normally use, and have to use some tactics as well.


One word of caution is you need a way so people don't pull their CB's off of coverage and just blitz them all the time, making it harder to run since there is no passing allowed...

It has to be more screens. You can still blitz all 11 guys and still stop a screen. If there is no threat of passing, then you can just blitz everyone and shut down everything....the only chance to move the ball is to hopefully get enough yards on a slam. There will be zero yards rushing to the outside and this would get boring real quick.

I can't remember what video game it was, but there was a mini game where you could only run and you couldn't punt or kick field goals. It was like tug of war. That might be fun, or maybe a regular game and just allow screens 100% of the time, just no forward passing. Either way whoever breaks a big run off a BT is probably going to win.
