Week 5 Predictions
Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
Welcome to fps week, with some of the better fps games ever. And stuff.
Naga
Game Of The Week
Woody Island Wolverines (4-0) v Palembang Drunken Monks (4-0)
Two undefeated teams collide in what should be a very good GoTW. Last week WW shut down’s HKH’s vaunted offense while the Monks have also picked up a couple of quality wins along the way. The Monks won last season’s edition 44-10, but that was when WW was really struggling in general. Two very good defenses in this one and whichever one answers the Call of Duty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnQoGEn9aKQ will prevail. Monks 27, WW 21
Other Games
Semarang Red Bulls (4-0) v Tibetan Drunk Monks (0-4)
Another mirror image record game for Semarang and another one that could turn ugly as they take on the “other” Monks. TDM is hanging in there and fighting but they are clearly over-matched in this one, which spells certain Doom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhkEomP5h0g Semarang 120, Tibetan 3
Krungthep Garudas (4-0) v Hong Kong Hustlers (3-1)
The Garudas get their most challenging game of this season thus far in the form of HKH. HKH meanwhile was just handled by WW’s stingy defense and looks to rebound with their feared screen/outside running game attack. Looking across the field at the legendary Garudas, will they Quake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU8yso4w1Ho with fear or show up for the upset? Krungthep 42, HKH 27
The Outlaw Hustlers (4-0) v The Royal Blue Drunken Smurfs of Funkalicious Labatt
Surprising TOH looks to start out with 5 straight wins this season, this time at the expense of the Smurfs. The Smurfs elected to go young and build for a WL run a few seasons down the line, but right now that equals a lot of growing pains and that’s been kind of a Bioshock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgmpf3ZGORw to their system. TOH 38, Smurfs 20
Victoria Teabaggers (3-1) v Dayton Blackhawks (0-4)
VT has looked fantastic thus far this season and even played Semarang close in their only loss. Dayton seems to be gradually improving but they’re still a ways off from hanging straight up with VT, but the free beer might help prevent VT from going too Duke Nukem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRis-kH9l-c on them. VT 42, Dayton 9
Orlando Praying Mantis (3-1) v Sainte Foy Cyclones (1-3)
Before the season I wouldn’t have been surprised if one of these teams was 3-1 and the other was 1-3, but I would have guessed the other way around. SFC is going to want to break out of their doldrums and they’ll need to beat a hot OPM to do it as all of this losing has been a bit of a System Shock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xap7JLlROSQ SFC 30, OPM 24
Golden Hill Bones (1-3) v Portland Dirty Penguins (1-3)
Neither PDP nor GHB has much enjoyed their opening schedule, but one of them gets to put a bandaid on their record this week and extend their Half-Life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qemVJuzlMJE for the season. GHB 28, PDP 27
Benton Harbor Havoc (1-3) v Dayton Raiders (0-4)
Both BHH and the Raiders are off to a tough start, but a win can start to have a snowball effect, so we’ll see what happens down the line. BHH has been pretty competitive, while Dayton still hasn’t scored 10 points all season combined, so look for the BHH Goldeneye http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRXNcmR7iCY&feature=fvst to shoot them down. BHH 33, Dayton 9

Game of the Week
Halifax Harpoons (3-1) v Tanzania Lumberjacks (3-1)
As far as I can recall, the first GoTW for either team as they’re both a surprising 3-1. Neither team has had the most difficult schedule thus far and they’ve both been blown out by playoff teams, so this may turn out to be a game to see who gets one of the last couple of playoff spots by the end of the season. This is not to insult either team, I just think they’re both a Far Cry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy8nhHj0JVk from one of the top 2 or 3 spots in the conference. Tanzania 33, Halifax 24
Other Games
The New York Empire (4-0) v Mandunum CPU (CPU)
Ah, the travesty of the CPU train continues with what will obviously be an epic stats gorging game for NYE. Try not to run back every punt, ok guys? I still think it’s pretty Unreal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I62HRtxYHyM that a CPU team could START the season in a Pro league. NYE 255, CPU 0
Phu Khao Bow Chicka Brown Cows (3-1) v Chaotic Crew (2-2)
The Crew has looked pretty decent thus far this season but now they find themselves up against what appears to be one of the best team in lolgaruda, the Cows. Pretty decent isn’t going to touch the Cows though. That could certainly inspire some F.E.A.R. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6tfGAtopZQ from coordinators and dots alike. Cows 56, CC 10
Buffalo Rampage (3-1) v Praha Velvet Revolution (0-4)
The way PVR has played thus far, I’m starting to think they mean something different by velvet revolution than I originally thought they meant. Confusing I know. Then again, playing Buffalo could cause most teams a Crysis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w1CHff8bxM Buffalo 75, PVR 6
Krakow Kryptonite (3-1) v Atlantic Great Whites (1-3)
Krakow, my adopted team from last season, has made the stride forward I thought they would. AGW is still thinking of competing for a lower tier playoff spot, but they’ve got to put things together first to do it. Otherwise, they’ll be facing the Perfect Dark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y_kq-mmJ7I of the off-season early. Krakow 56, AGW 17
Boston Bears (2-2) v Buffalo Knights (2-2)
This should actually be one of the better games of the week and could be very important for playoff position down the line. Both teams look good and likely to make the playoffs but neither team looks elite at this point. I do know that they both better come to this one looking for Blood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yB8Kuh5l2s because the loser might regret it later. Boston 20, Buffalo 17
Mandalay King Cobras (2-2) v Awendaw Toadfish (0-4)
I like how Mandalay has cranked their game up a notch and really come to play this season. I’d like to see Awendaw do the same, but it doesn’t look like they have the horses right now. They’re going to need entire Tribes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k69aPN4JhHE of new recruits to close the gap for next season, if they’re still up here. MKC 49, Awendaw 13
Wu Dang Kung Fu Academy (2-2) v Island of Misfit Toys (1-3)
As unfavorable as Wu’s schedule began, the schedule lately has been just the opposite. IMT is improving but they’ll still provide another rung in Wu’s climb back into the playoff picture. IMT would have to be a real Thief http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJLEtMaYKOg to steal this one I think. Wu 45, IMT 17
Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
