The only way I see making that DT work at national pro level is to move all equipment to speed and add special teamer VA.

They seem really uncommon, and with the limited D-line for the DPC, not that much you can do with him.

Not a pure agility guy, no. 120 str/ 120 agi / 90 speed might be interesting.

Not since like 10 seasons ago.

I try to aim for enough agility to get techman, then everything else in either speed or strength. Speed is where its at right now for pass rushers, and strength is better for breaking block. The VAs also support strength more than agility.

DEs yes.

I would love to see an effective DT that had over 100 speed.

We had that for a while, then moved 10 more agility equipment into strength, then moved all agility equipment into strength. Unfortunately this sim just doesn't have a place for agility DTs anymore.

I don't know. 130/110 has been about as effective as 140/100 from what I've seen on teams I am involved with. Although the 140/100 is more consistent play to play, the 130/110 was more likely to get TFLs.

With the latest change to the OL/DL interaction, I'm thinking that 160/80 is about the only way to go now.

I'm still hoping that as more and more people realize how OP'd the offense is in the running game that Bort will see how stupid this latest change was and make another adjustment though.

I think the effect of agility on breaking and holding blocks could be bumped up a moderate amount.

Testing first, please.

Edit:
In all seriousness, it has never made sense to me that strength is dominant in pass rushing. That should have its place, especially with DL who collapse the pocket, but agility should have the advantage for disengaging from and getting around pass blockers.

And because of agility's limited effectiveness when not coupled with str, it weakens the effectiveness of speed on a pass rushing DE as the only time speed is really playing majorly into effect is when they just flat out run around the OT due to a nice first step speed burst (or fail OT vision check w.e it is).
