AP - Eddie Barrett had a lot to say after he was cut from the Massacre following the 20-27 loss yesterday. Clearly upset, he lost it during the post-game press conference.
"Look, we lost a game. No, they lost a game. I come here on short notice, punt for more distance than the opposing kicker, and I'm the one walking out without a single paycheck for my efforts!!!! What about that donkey of a QB who tossed 2 picks? Oh, he's the owners son, that's @$#($ right."
"This team is always going to be second rate with trigger reactions. I didn't even have a chance to practice with the special teams. The way the covered my punts, I don't think it would help. How difficult is it to run down field and cover a 19 yd punt. This team is just weak all-around."
"I could go on, but it's shocking. Hey we need to blame someone for this loss, let's blame the punter who made no major mistakes. If I dropped a snap, completely botched a kick, fine - I can live with that. This is just bush league garbage."
After this comments, Eddie kicked the microphone. It went 40 yards. Maybe if he did that during the game, he'd still have a job.
