#1 Palembang Drunken Monks (14-2) v #8 Victoria Teabaggers (8-8)
Regular season: Monks 24, VT 6
Both teams played hard-nosed D in the regular season but VT came up short in a hard fought game. There have been several instances of 8s beating 1s in the SEA Pro playoffs. I was on the wrong end of those several seasons ago with PDP v Mekong. #2 The Cult (14-2) v #7 Woody Island Wolverines (9-7)
Regular Season: Cult 65, WW 9
This is not the nice and easy 7 matchup the Cult would like to have seen. Of WW’s 9 wins, 8 of those are in the last 8 weeks. Danger Will Robinson, they definitely do not want to get Jingle Bell Rock’d http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWXqmukiD3U by WW. Normally if a team loses by more than half a hundred in the regular season you say they have no shot in the playoffs. I still think they lose, but WW does at least have a shot. Cult 38, WW 28

#3 Portland Dirty Penguins (13-3) v #6 Saint Foye Cyclones (13-3)
Regular Season: SFC 22, PDP 16
A rare case of a team losing the head to head game but winning the overall tie-breaker in the glut of teams at 13-3. Both teams exceeded expectations and one of them makes at least the second round. It should be among the best first round games. While the loser will be Home for the Holidays http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFHLo93kwHQ they will still have had a great season. PDP 30, SFC 28

#4 Pudong Skyfire (13-3) v #5 Hong Kong Hustlers (13-3)
Regular Season: Pudong 44, HKH 41
These two teams played one of the best games of the regular season and I expect no less here. I am personally not to thrilled to be in the same bracket as either of them. They are both very dangerous playoff teams. Depending on how the sim turns out it will be a Blue Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10OcvYB5f9g for one of these because their standard is probably trophy or bust this season. #1 Three Kingdom Warriors (15-1) v #8 Quad Cities Quarantine (8-8)
Regular Season: TKW 63, QCQ 0
First of all, congrats to QCQ for pulling in that final playoff spot and having a nice season. These two teams played just last week and I hate it when that happens. Normally when it does one or both teams sandbag so as not to give anything away. No offense to QCQ, but I don’t think it matters here because TKW is the hottest team in SEA right now. There is a good chance these playoffs will be a Winter Wonderland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHTE_QQOct8 for TKW. TKW 65, QCQ 9

#2 Buffalo Rampage (14-2) v #7 Wu Dang Kung Fu Academy (8-7-1)
Regular Season: Buffalo 97, Wu 42
The regular season meeting was one of those GLB loldefense games where it got out of control. I expect the playoff version to be a bit more tied down, but it was one crazy Sleigh Ride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qBEXubFGxw It should be interesting nontheless with cries of lolwu and Buffalo sucks echoing through the SEA halls. #3 Phu Khao Bow Chicka Brown Cows (13-3) v #6 New York Empire (11-5)
Regular Season: Cows 48, NYE 10
Despite the wide margin of victory in the first game and the very strong closing win by the Cows over Lucid, this one could be close. The Cows have had a very nice season and not bad for NYE either. Which team will be singing Silver Bells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stEjTFMb940 when the final horn sounds? Cows 35, NYE 28

#4 Lucid D.R.E.A.M. (13-3) v #5 Buffalo Knights (11-5)
Regular Season: Lucid 31, Buffalo 0
The “other” Buffalo did not score a point in their first meeting with Lucid and yet Lucid probably does not feel totally comfortable with this game. First of all Buffalo is erratic and unpredictable. They could look like world beaters or a small child from game to game. Second, Lucid looked pretty beatable last game but hey they may not have been trying. Which team will Step Into Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSJMSnj6UUM with the knowledge their playoff dream is still alive? Lucid 27, Buffalo 17

Solid matchups all round in Naga. When you can have a 1st round with all teams having a real chance of winning, that really shows the parity in the conference.

agree with all picks except for Pu Dong/HKH. I think skyfire mailed the balance of the season in after Cult (because they said they did), just like the way Cult mailed in the game after we lost to Monks. IF you aren't 16-0...then who cares about record as long as you get into the playoffs..right?

Skyfire has the builds and the coordinators, they will put the work in and come out firing in the postseason...remember you had them ranked #1 in the league a couple of weeks ago. Glad Cult isn't in their bracket....SKyfire wins 42-17 IMO

Anyway, there is definitely a lot of parity in Naga, so nothing would surprise me this week.

So for now I'm guessing we will probably run whatever DAI is loaded (TKW would be my guess).

Our OC does his own thing but he knows his shit. I'm glad the season has almost started.
