i have 2 lvl 10 qb's. one was build as a pure rusher other was build as pure passer. i want to make a scrambler. is it better to turn a runner into a passer or a passer into a runner?

the passer is probably a more viable option.

Yes but the rusher's ALG's should be good enough to turn him into a dual option.

Seeing the builds would help more.

meh... i think for scrambler.dual threat you need to start with passing attributes simply because you still need a solid amount of throwing. speed is still important, but the way im guessing he has built them thus far, the passer would be a more viable option. not to mention i think the bonus SAs on a passer would be more beneficial.

I don't agree. Throwing is a major for a Scrambler. So is Vision. The also both get the same ALGs. The only difference is Confidence/Agility.
Confidence is a Major on the Pocket passer and Agility is a Major on the Scrambler. Agility being a major is KEY to being a good scrambler. You can still get your Passing SAs up. And a Bonus SA is whatever you choose it to be.

yes, but if the scrambler was originally built to be a pure rusher, he probably didnt start with throwing... he probs started with speed and agility. it would be okay if throwing was second, but that probs wasnt the case.

Speed is a minor for a scrambler and he is only level 10. It would be EASY to get his throwing/vision up to where they need to be.

Also, you have never even built a QB...

no, but that doesnt mean i dont know how to build one.

and level 10 is already too late for the scrambler if we went agility and speed first. if he was smart, he did agility first. which is good. but if he was training speed during that time (which most people do for some reason unbeknownst to me), then its too late. if he trained throwing during that time (which i doubt since he was planning on being a pure rusher... but even pure rushers should have ~70+ throwing, imho, if you want to even think about perhaps, maybe, sim-willing playing at a high level with consistency and success.) then he could salvage it into a pretty good scrambler (sim willing). the reason working on speed this early would be a no-no (which again, im guessing he did) is because it is a minor and not a major. scarmblers have a lot of attributes that they need high, and so even small mistakes in the building process can lead to mediocrity or failure.

the pure passer probably started with throwing, and then either vision or strength. both of which are important for a scrambler and are majors.
