I expect my center to end with about 174 strength (including EQ + Workout Warrior VA). He has 2 hold block pieces and a Line General piece.. what do you think his 4th piece should be? Is that enough strength for Pancake to be worthwhile or just get Get Low? Or a 2nd Line General and run with a stupid high amount.

how high is his agility and speed.
All the strength in the world is no good without the ability to get momentum and/or leverage to use it.

It's a pre-archetype C so I could see it happening. Mine is at something like 165/107/83/61 and I admittedly made some mistakes.
I wouldn't even want a 4th piece of AEQ for a C. I guess you could do a pancake, get low, or another hold block piece, but I don't know if any of those are really worth the bonus token investment.
Can you just multi train with those tokens instead?
I will just say that I think agility is underrated for Cs.

because the whole quad train/archetype thing came halfway through his career he sort of had to light train to build up tokens. i do want a 4th AEQ definitely... just the +3 str from it is a boon. I just wonder if it should be Get Low or Pancake.. or even something like Hands, First Step, or a 2nd Line General piece.
it's just that there is such a discrepancy between how much str a DT needs to revcake an O-lineman and how much str an O-lineman needs to pancake a DT. It comes down to how much MORE strength does an O-lineman need over a D-lineman before he can start pancaking them. I think the answer might be "30+".
I worry that even with 170+ strength if he goes up against an NT with 130 strength (which is low) he'll still NEVER be able to pancake the guy.

I hear you on that - I've had my own C matched up in games against my own DTs before and my DTs dominated the matchup. My DTs have 25 less strength than my C.
Get low isn't a bad option but it's not going to make a huge difference IMO. I wonder sometimes what AoI would do for a C - would the morale penalty to a DT be enough to help him get more pancakes. I suppose you could stack it with Showtime blocker to see how that would work, but I doubt it would be effective. First step isn't bad either.

Buuuuut how much more Agility and Speed do your DTs have than your C? Exactly.
DL also have largely better VAs than OL but there's not a whole lot to be done about that.

About 10-12 agility and about 20 speed.
Still, my C has 99 blocking. My DT's 2nd highest attribute is not 90. AEQ is largely the same as well and my C has Stonewall while my DTs do not.
DTs manage to get way more reverse pancakes than they should yet they are still worthless from a stats perspective.
