My CB is nearing on how much speed I would call too much. Looking at him (level 43) how much speed should he have?

My level 35 has 91 speed and will be 92 once I train it over in a few days, but I wouldn't put skill points in there beyond the sixth or maybe seventh cap.

With all equipment in speed I'll have like 150 speed (with equipment) some day. That's not too much? Should I split EQ?

Hard to say, given that we don't know how fast WRs will be. It also depends on what you have in agility.

85-90, probably (end-build). It depends on your role and your spot on the depth chart. If you're mostly playing CB1 or CB2 then you probably don't need as much agility as CB3 or CB4. Furthermore, remember that you need 60+ stamina by the end-build to take full advantage of high speed.

no speed is too much speed
I wonder what happen if a WR or HB have 150 speed and 100 agi?? That would be awesomme

150 speed/90 agility will probably be average for a WR or elusive HB in WL using archetypes. Some WRs are going to be closer to 160 speed and some will probably end up with 164 or 165. Anything above that will probably be pushing it too far to have an effective build, but there may be a few agents that try to get it closer to 170.

But the OP has to remember that CBs don't need the same amount of speed/agility to keep up with faster WRs.

They do on routes that aren't vertical.

I think 145 speed plus Ball Hawk will probably be fine for covering 155-160 speed WRs. They will get a little behind on non vertical routes, but 145 should keep them close enough so that they get into position before the ball gets there once Ball Hawk kicks in.

I'm growing more and more convinced that Ball Hawk might not be that effective. How many ticks does it take a pass to go from thrown to completed? Now subtract however many ticks expire before the defender passes the check to recognize that a pass is coming. +30% to speed, agility, and vision sounds like an enormous amount, but if it's only applying for a minuscule amount of time then it's not having a huge impact. Far more important is whether or not the QB leads receivers properly. If Bort ever gets that nailed down, corners without 150+ speed will be up shit creek.

Unless other aspects of the sim change, I don't think you will even need 145. 140 + ballhawk will be more than enough as things currently work.
