Would it be good ? Maybe a Tim Tebow (Powerback) or something like that.

Speed , Throwing , STR and Agility ?

don't forget about vision, a QB can't really pass without it.

agility is the most important for a duel threat.
necessary for good passing and running.

not if he wants to be more of a power back type dual threat. At that point, agility wont do too much for him aside from perhaps a slight increase in break tackle roll (debated), slight increase in pass quality, and increased acceleration after a broken tackle (which would then play into the possibility of increasing your next break tackle roll via momentum). and also, since a power back type dual threat would probably be better as a deep threat archetype, and they only get agility as a minor, it should really be worked on only after you are comfortable with the level that ALGs will take your majors.

but you didn't look at all.
his QB is a SCRAMBLER!

to be a scrambler and not take advantage of the agility ALG is just crazy talk.
plus agility helps passing mechanics and of course avoids hurries (and sacks)
don't listen to that guy! if you have a scrambler QB you NEED agility!

true! it is also very important for rushing- especially from the QB position!

scrambler QBs:

Agility
Vision
Throwing
Speed

or possibly

Agility
Speed
Vision
Throwing

my scrambling QB i went:

Speed
Agility
Vision
Throwing
then strength to the first cap
most will advise against that particular order, but as you can see its worked out quite nicely

well he also said he wants more of a tim tebow like scrambler... if so, he chose the wrong archetype. if he wants to just be a typical scrambler and forgo the "tim tebow-esque" route, then i would agree that agility first is the way to go... im pretty sure you and i have discussed this before in other threads, so dont be so fast to discredit me

what im saying is that with a scrambler archetype he should definitely max agility...
even a pure passer needs good agility. the ones that don't get sacked 5 times every game...

he could do a tebow style or ben rapelessburger type power runner,
but he'll have to wait to get that kind of strength. like you said, a deep passer archetype is probably much better for that.
but, he still needs at least decent agility, or he'll be a sitting duck. come to think of it, i can't think of any skill player that can do without good agility, if they want to be great.

As of right now at high levels of the game, the best dual threat QB is a great pocket passer who can also hand off to a spin back.

Until the sim fundamentally changes how scrambling works, dual threat QBs are a minor league proposition.

So I ran my build plan for this player through the VPB and this is what it came up with. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1992757

Mind you this is not including any equipment.

Attributes:
strength : 51.6
speed : 82.6
agility : 99.52
jumping : 6
stamina : 35
vision : 82.52
confidence : 53.6
blocking : 6
throwing : 87.52
catching : 8
carrying : 57.6
tackling : 8
kicking : 8
punting : 8

Top SA Tree: | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Bottom SA Tree: | 8 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 |
Additional SA Tree: | 2 | (This is Spin. I also plan to have 2 AEQ pieces in spin)

What do you guys think? Could this build be effective as a dual threat? Equipment could be moved around to suit throwing, or Speed. I think that it would have a chance to at least give DC's some things to think about. If they tag him for outside rushing, he has enough throwing and vision that he could make them pay I would think.

EDIT: Of course his throwing would all have to be shorter passes due to the Low Strength

thats pretty much what Tif da Cat is headed towards:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2029000

as you can see, up till this point at least, mainly in elite minors, when the D tries to stop her run she passes for huge gains,
when they play her to pass she runs with ease. don't know how she will fair at the end of her career,
but in the middle she is showing no signs of slowing down.
