Hypothetical: you have an NT nearing the end of his build. You've made a lot of mistakes in his build, but he's the first dot you built that was good enough to keep, and he's a decent, functional NT you don't want to retire yet. He has no archetype.

By the time you hit level 72, you'll have 39 SPs. You'll have enough points in SAs so that both Break Through and D-line General will be at 10 once equipment is factored in. Strength and agility might be lower than you would want them to be (again, mistakes were made early in the build), but they will both be well above 85 natural, and putting points into them now may not be a good return on investment. Tackling (80), speed (75) and vision (70) will both be higher than average for the position, so more points in those don't make a lot of sense either. Confidence and stamina are both capped, with stamina close to the 2nd cap via post-cap training.

What do you do with the 39 SPs? It's enough points to max out Shed Block, but is that SA worth it for a NT without equipment in that SA? Do you spend the points to go beyond 10 in Break Through and D-Line General, even though beyond 10 gets into diminishing returns? Do you 3rd cap stamina? Do you blow it all on an extra 3 points in strength or agility, trying to make up for not taking those higher earlier? Do you put the points in some other SA?

Just interested in what other people think. I'm leaning towards putting the points into Shed Block.

I'd take Shed Block to 8 for any DL, not sure about 10. Wall to 8 is also a good investment at NT (or DT). I'm guessing you can do both of those, 2nd cap stamina, and still have points to spare... Strong Base?

Does vision really need to be that high? 70 seems extensive. My end of build NT will finish at about 58-60.

yup. most WL and even pro DTs have 70 vision. in the future, that number could very well be even a little bit higher.

high level DTs should consider 65 as the absolute mimimum for vision.
