Welcome to the Season 19 version of USAPL Survivor. I'm taking the idea from the infamous Abstract Actuary and his WL Survivor game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4378392


What do I win?:

Unlike the WL Survivor game; this contest is just for fun and to increase forum activity. Hopefully someday I'll be able to award some Flex Points or Reward Points, but until then it's just for pride!


How to play:

Each week you pick the winner of one game. If your team wins, you survive. Sounds simple, right? There are a few twists.

-You may not pick any team to win more than once over the course of the season (includes playoffs).
-You may not pick AGAINST the same team more than once over the course of the season (resets at playoffs).
-This means, you may pick each team twice. Once to win and once to lose.
-If multiple players survive through the Championship game, they both win.
-If all remaining players are eliminated in the same week, they all win.
-You may change your pick anytime before the deadline, but you should make a new post to do so. If you edit an old post and I've already recorded it, I may not see your change.
-The deadline to make picks for a given week is 1 hour in advance to the labeled sim times. No exceptions.
-You may submit picks for future weeks in advance.
-The contest is open to any poster on GLB. One entry per real life person, though.
-These rules are subject to change by the moderator.

Important Notes

-There is no tiebreaker. If multiple players are eliminated in the same week they split the win.

-You may pick for and against a team over the course of the season. This always causes some confusion.
Week 1 - Monmouth Evil Monkeys over Ketchikan Kamper Adventure Rentals
Week 2 - Defenders of the Ancients over Monmouth Evil Monkeys
would be an acceptable set of picks.

-You do not get a reset of your winning teams for the playoffs. So if you pick Defenders of the Ancients to win during the regular season you can not pick them to win in the playoffs.

-You can pick against teams in the playoffs that you previously picked against. So if you pick against Defenders of the Ancients in the regular season, then you can pick against them again in the playoffs. This is the only "reset" of any sort available to teams.

Well, that's one way to go I guess! Not a bad idea, actually. I usually drop out of the WL version because I forget a week too!
