Bug can jump in here with his thoughts on Zeta. And I am actually going to take a crack at Alpha even though I am far from an expert on their teams.
Alpha:
#1 Sin City Silent Assassins vs. #4 Bora Bora Bangaroos
Sin City has one hell of a team. Coming back off a World League trip they were earmarked to be one of those teams that would bounce right back up. They have not disappointed securing the #1 seed in OPL Alpha. Us Zeta-ites like to say lolalpha but Sin City and Vanuatu might be the best teams in OPL. Only one of them will make it to the WL. (Sin City is really a Zeta team in disguise).
Bora Bora tied the Black Hand Mafia in Week 1. But since then they have gone 12-3 and came close to beating the Assassins in the regular dropping a close one 49-45. I am a huge fan of The Tick! Spoooooon! But Silent City is going to go all Proto Clown on Bora Bora and this tie it won't be close:

#2 Vanuatu Kava Sharks vs. #3 Stockholm Black Death
So Cable Jelly comes on the forum and announces he is packing it in after the season. After offering condolences I send over a scrim from Sumatra wanting at least one game between this legendary OPL team. Well, we were crushed. Just absolutely crushed. http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1420482 That was with no game-planning from either side. But this team is superb. It might wind up winning OPL and then riding off into the sunset.
Stockholm lost to Vanuatu 85-41 in the final game of the regular season. But were they trying to win or sandbagging while saving stuff for the playoffs? I think they were trying and the playoff game is going to wind up being more of the same. Chicken Quesadilla will be the difference:

Zeta:
#1 Sumatra Sea Hawks vs. #4 Syracuse Synergy
The Sea Hawks lucked into the #1 seed after the beat Addict Nation and then watched Addict Nation wake up and take down EEA and Guady. The good news is that securing the #1 seed meant avoiding Guady/EEA until the CCG. The bad news is a date with Syracuse in R2. The Synergy man-handled Sumatra in the regular season match up even with nachos. The Synergy stopped our running game and our passing game and punked us on special teams.
On defense the problem is the two-pronged attack Syracuse offers. On one hand you could have your balls fondled by Father McKenzie, on the other hand you have to deal with Walter Payton who ran for 219 yards against Sumatra. I just hope we can keep it close and hope for a lucky sim.

#2 Guadalcanal Gunners vs. #3 Eastern European Alliance
The Gunners are a hard team to figure out. They beat EEA in the regular season despite a 0-3 turnover advantage. The team lost three fumbles, put up 541-yards of offense and still needed a FG with under a minute to go to pull off the win. The Gunners strength is their passing game. Dauntless Marine went 21/26 for nearly 300 yards. That is completing passes at an 80% clip. That is damn good. Bug is working overtime to figure out a way to slow down the Gunners aerial assault.
On the other side of the ball EEA needs to ramp up their passing game which can only be described as pathetic in the regular season game with Guady. Billy Joe Lee only completed 6 of 24 passes for a paltry 25% completion percentage. EEA nearly won thanks to the devastating two-pronged running attack of Chicken George Moore and Rushard Makemfall.
