Who thinks it is a good idea to remove the DPC?

I think it's the worst band-aid fix in GLB history.

They are going to either have to fix it or lose a lot of players. As always I will give the new thing a try and if it ever turns out that I don't want to continue then I will walk away. As I've always said, I like most of the changes they have implemented over the years.

Ok, it looks like they've significantly modified their stance after a flood of criticism.

Seems like they'll just limit some stuff, which is a good compromise. In the long term, they should really fix blocking / audibles though.

I have no issue with limiting it (depending upon how much they limit it). However, a complete removal would end my flex purchasing and turn me into an owner rather than a DC who happens to own some teams.

Personally if they just lock the DE's in place that would be perfect.. That would take away alot of the glitch blitz plays that people create.

I'm starting to think that was their intent all along just to limit movement. The announcement to remove DPC was just a way to limit bitching on their real intent.

I think it's a bad idea all the way around. DE's are already limited to the inside and line up outside no different than in RL. It's not like they are 5 yards outside. DT's can only move to the C and the NT cannot move to the weak side in a 3/4. I don't get what the problem is. Dline position is very close to RL. If anything they are too limited as it is. Look at the scores in WL, tell me that defense is an issue. The problem here is that there are some very whiney OC's out there who want it to be easy. LB's are limited, CB's are limited, Safeties are limited, and the Dline is limited on where you can position them. You can't play a true 46 Bear or any number of defensive formations that could limit the offensive capability. Doesn't matter where you position people, if they can't make a tackle because the offense is already overpowering who cares. I'm not knocking the guy carrying the rock, but seriously 4 spins without slowing down? Doesn't happen. Defense has been getting screwed for seasons now, and I'm sick of it. I watch safeties go to a shallow cover 2 and watch the play before they decide to try to make a tackle on a sweep after the ball carrier is 5 yards downfield or are attacking the run only to get blocked by a CB who is blocking 2 other players and these are Well built dots.

Before they go screwing with defensive positioning, maybe they should fix the pathing bugs and player reaction and tackling of SUPER DOTS, before NERFING the defense once again. I don't use the blitz exploits, but if they are there and people find them good for them, they still have to make the tackle. OC's need to quit griping and be thankful that they don't have to work near as hard as DC's to get menial results. DCing is the only fun part of this game for me and between the last 2 seasons of all the changes and the crap going on now, my frustration level with this game has dramatically increased and the fun is being sucked out of it. Bottom line if this continues, I'm done spending money and will be content as a slow build who spends eternity in leagues where Parity isn't an option.

I think the best suggestion was if you choose a player to "blitz" then limit him to a predesignated area but as far as coverage I think you should be able to line up however u want. And maybe if the DE's lining wide is a real problem, pull that in some

We should be able to assign gaps, holes to blitz, and run dline stunts, etc.........If the oline can't pick up blitzes, maybe it's time to have an OPC and change the way we build Olinemen or GOD forbid, actually game plan and hold a HB, FB, and TE in to help with blocking instead of whining because a DC has found a way to consistently get to the QB. In the NFL that's called good game planning, in GLB it's a whine fest and obviously a bug.

Been going on for seasons now. Here are some examples:

1. Oh the elusive backs aren't effective. They're not getting 1000 yards a game
2. Oh the Power backs just don't have enough power
3. Oh the DE's are getting to the QB too much.
4. Oh there are 11 guys between us and the endzone, can they be removed please?
5. Oh my QB is getting dirty because they blitz too much.
6. Oh my WR's can't catch a pass because there's 3 guys around him......
7. Wha, Wha, Freakin' Wha

Bort has fixed all but 1 of these, now we have NBA scores in the WL. Ridiculous

you're a100% right. I think that this will be limited but i'm not happy about it.
