Warrior General Games

Not much in the way of changes near the top, but lots of changes in the middle to lower tiers. And yes, its odd than an undefeated team would drop in the rankings, but I attribute that to the strength of the top teams in the West.

The rankings below are based off of nothing but roster evaluation, past records (seasonal, playoffs, and scrimmages), team chemistry, and personal knowledge of the team. I didn’t use a greasemonkey script or spreadsheet or anything fancy; just my opinion. These rankings are up for debate amongst yourselves on the forums, but if you want to move up in the rankings; you’ll have to prove it on the dotball field!

Air’s Current Record on picks 13-3

SOUTH GEORGIA GROWL vs. Lincoln Navigators (LN)
-- On paper, this looks to be a good matchup, but dotball isn’t played on paper. GROWL is a very good team, but every time they’ve struggled mightily against better competition. The Navigators are better and will roll to victory.

Cincinnati Shockers vs. Rhode Island Red Wolves (CS)
-- Rhode Island got out to a fast start, but face a huge challenge for the second week in a row. Cincinnati should have no problem picking up another W.

Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens vs. Hollywood Stars (CCIA)
-- CCIA is a coming off a surprising loss and needs a W to stay in the playoff hunt in the West. They should be able to do so against the Stars

Defenders of the Ancients vs. A Team About Nothing (DotA)
-- Lots of banter about where DotA belongs in the rankings…this game really won’t affect that status either way unless A Team About Nothing pulls off a stunner. Not likely.

Ketchikan Kamper Adventure Rentals vs. Shaolin Wu Tang Killa Bees (KKAR)
-- Math dude sent me a message and said KKAR would lose this week. I don’t believe him. Typical KKAR sabotage attempt by math dude.

Baton Rouge Buccaneers vs. California Kings Matter (CKM)
-- California Kings Matter is the fastest moving team in the rankings right now and the Buccaneers would love nothing more than to slow their momentum. I don’t see that happening unless CKM is looking ahead to the next two weeks.

Coalville Colliers vs. 8 Mile Assault (CC)
-- If 8 Mile wants a win, this is one of their few chances. Not a likely scenario.

Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs. Nebraska Tornados (MEM)
-- MEM has been eerily silent on the forums this season, but their play on the dotball field has been solid. Nebraska, on the other hand, seems to have packed it in early this season.

South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice vs. Come Fiesta (SOFPM)
-- Coming into the season, both these teams were expected to be fighting for the #1 seed. SOFPM is definitely holding up their end of the bargain with several impressive wins. CF hit a small speed bump with losses against Chico High and San Diego, and struggled against the Pyromaniacs. If CF brings their “A” game, this could be a great game to watch. If not, South Otto will roll to another easy victory.

Humboldt Killer Hornets vs. Mendoza Marios (HKH)
-- Humboldt is the most surprising undefeated team remaining. Their streak should extend to 8 against the Marios.

BEDLAM ASYLUM SHOCKERS vs. Chico High Panthers (CHP)
-- Bedlam has been unable to keep teams out of the end zone all season. I see that trend continuing against Chico High.

Pittsburgh Steel Curtain vs. Nashville Hounds (NH)
-- The Hounds should have little trouble getting through the Steel Curtain this week on their way to victory.

Atlantic City Affliction vs. San Diego Lightning (SDL)
-- Atlantic City showed some signs of life in week 7. Do they have enough to take on the Lightning? Possibly, but it would be a huge upset.

Paris French Connection vs. D.C Baby Sloths (DCBS)
-- The Baby Sloths are looking solid this season. Even their losses have been fairly good games. On the other hand, Paris is struggling. I sense those struggles will continue.

Detroit Pyromaniacs vs. All The King's Men (ATKM)
-- ATKM took care of business against Bedlam in week 7. Now they get to do it again in week 8 against Detroit. Should be a good warmup for their week 9 matchup against South Otto.

Philadelphia Pushovers vs. Tennessee Fury (TF)
-- Coming into the season, I viewed the Pushovers as a wildcard this season. So far they’ve won the games they should win and lost the games they should lose. This game should be close, but I see Fury pulling away late for the victory.

Your defense is terrible, fire your DC. They'll beat you regardless.

I don't think Come Fiesta has changed it's offensive OAI once this season and I've only gameplanned once or twice on defense....

Our staff is definitely not as active as in previous seasons. Hopefully come playoff time, we can get back on track.
