Common rule of thumb is anywhere from 48 to 72.

Thoughts on best number?

not below 60.

My HB with 63 Strength that played in mostly Pro's and World League had a total of 78 Broken Tackles over his last two seasons, along with 5 Spin.

My HB with 53 Strength that played mostly in AAA and some Pro's had a total of 31 Broken Tackles over his last two seasons, along with 7 Spin.

So Higher Spin with Less Strength still equaled less broken tackles, but Higher Strength and less Spin equaled more Broken Tackles.

So, my Guess a minimum of 60 Strength would be bare minimum, but 68 with 7+ Spin would be more ideal.

more ideal? 70+ strength and 10+ spin along wth a bunch of other stuff.

but yeah, you're logic is pretty much right

But, 70+ Strength and 10+ Spin wouldn't work out with my build plan for my HB simply because I've got too much invested in Speed/Agility/Carrying.

Now the debate is where I go for 48, 60, or 68 Strength instead.

As much as you can get without sacrificing the other parts of your build, hopefully at least 60. Regardless of your build plan, I would not stop at 48.

60 Seems to be about as far as I can go before I start sacrificing, so it looks like I'll be targeting 60 Minimum, unless I redo my build plan to give up something like Stamina to only 48 instead of 60, but Stamina is so important to Speed now a days, I think it's kind of a no brainer to keep Stamina up to a decent level.

I took strength on my back from 63 to 68 and swapped out my % fake gear for %BT gear before season 16. Spin was at 7 that year, 10 the past two. Look at the difference:

Hard to tell which factor contributed to the huge increase in season 16, but I am sure the strength didn't hurt.

FYI...I was in USA Pro Season 15 and 16, WL 17 and 18.

Spin was also ungodly good during 15, 16, and even 17.

Depending on how much speed you're going to have, I'd keep the stamina. At least take it to 55, but 60 would be ideal.

This is spot-on. Strength > Spin for tackle-breaking elusives. I'd suggest 68+. That gives lots of time (seasons) to get Speed, Agility, Carrying, and Vision to NASTY levels while still being manageable.

59 strength, carrying mid70s to 80, and agility to 90 for tackle breaking with spin

imo, 90 agility is unnecessary.
