Simple business strategy. A lot of people are quitting GLB and are trying to get their flex transferred to others so it doesn't go to waste. GLB doesn't want this as it means less money for them, so this rule helps curb that.

Agreed. Good thing my tournament was already approved or I'd be stuck in GLB for several more seasons.

Not one minute after my post, I got sent a warning for my Avatar that I have used off and on for 6+ months and even had reply's from Admin's in public threads with AV on.

lol, an excellent suggestion. Maybe this can be the new tournament option: a full funded, difficult to trace multi! That would keep GLB happy because multi's are good for business since they buy flex.

lol, an excellent suggestion. Maybe this can be the new tournament option: a full funded, difficult to trace multi! That would keep GLB happy because multi's are good for business since they buy flex.

Most MMO's seem to go through 3 phases...
Phase #1 = the game is new people are joining left and right. Money is rolling in well at this time and the main concern of the admins is to work on bug fixes so most new people stay and spend money.
Phase #2 = the game has become established and only a trickle of new players are joining. Money has leveled off here, so the main concern of the admins is to maximize money without loosing too many core players. (current phase of GLB)
Phase #3 = game is in it's twilight and almost no new players are joining, but the game is loosing core players fast. Money is down and the admins are looking to make cutbacks to try to keep the game afloat.
Due to a lot of the changes recently, you can tell GLB is in phase #2 and will probably be for a while. However, a lot of their changes and general attitude is starting to push core players, especially from the Pee-Wee leagues, away. They wont notice the hit in money for a while due to the recent profit driving changes, it will come back to haunt them later fi they continue.
I for one really like this game and play it daily, but the unfriendly attitude of the admins along with the recent changes is slowly changing my view of things. If they wouldn't try to squeeze every penny out of us with all these new rules and make an attempt to listen to the large core of Pee-Wee players they have who are unhappy with certain things, they would probably make more money out of us in the long run and have a much happier core set of players.
In the end it's their business and they can run it however they want, but a lot of people don't like the direction they are taking and they risk loosing a lot of players if they continue. I really hope they change their current direction as I do like this game.

My last season here. I've already cut down on here from 4-5 hours a day to 1 max. I rarely hit the forums anymore and only login to train my players. Trying to get out of this trainwreck.
We all know where that is going to leave us!!! Barley even got a PeeWee Cup established this season

We barely could field together a tournament. Maybe you can sanction the PeeWee Cup every season and bring at least a little life back in the league!!! It is the starter league for GLB ya know. It should never be overlooked, it is what your new users play when they start GLB and should be taken care of respectfully.

I also wonder if this is more of why the Iron Man tourney was shot down. I did say I'd like to transfer some flex (500 points) over to the winner.

It would just take a few changes by Bort and the admins to have all of Pee-Wee singing their praise, but so far, many of their actions seem to go against Pee-Wee wishes, hence the uproar. I have not given up on them yet, but every move they make against our wishes is moving me and many Pee-Wee agents farther and farther away.
