Speed speed speed. Vision is your second-most important. Agility is overrated and you don't need more than 75 end-build (68 cap should be good). Jumping/Tackling at the 61 cap, one of them to the 68 cap is generally a good way to go. AEQ such as SV, CD, %PD, %AF are all good. That's the basics.

Who are these people who talk so badly about agility.

no kidding. Agility is great. I went with vision 2nd on my FS, but only because agility was a minor pre-archetype.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1601787 - will only end up with roughly 138 speed, so probably a little slow, but I think this is pretty decent.

I don't hate agility, but if you have high CD you don't need it as much. My FS has 83 agility at the moment and seems to do just fine. He used to have 88 before I rearranged EQ, and I haven't seen any drop off in performance. He does have 9 CD though. If you don't want to go with high CD then I would say take agility to the 74 cap as your 3rd attribute. Speed and Vision are undeniably the top 2 though for a FS.

The agility question really has intrigued me the most because I've played around with it a lot on my FS. I would love any input anyone else has (concrete evidence would be nice) about how much you need. It also helps with tackling in my experience, which makes up for a low-tackling build. I could see going with a target of 80ish natural agility and focusing a little less on tackling. You can always help it out with a little EQ if you have to (though all your EQ should ideally be in speed.)

i'm not a huge fan of agility tbh with the exception of breaking and holding blocks and possibly tackling. for CBs/Safeties not a fan as many are

I think close to 85 end build is about where you want to go. Personally, I think agility is involved in pretty much every roll, including pass defensed rolls.

I just don't think 75 end build is enough, and personally I like having vision and agility about even.

yeah people who bash agility don't watch the sim much, and compare builds with higher agility, to builds with lower agility.

hmm... not really. plenty of people who don't watch the sim that aren't that into agility. i mean depends what you mean by higher and lower. I mean, i don't know about a safety with something like 60agility, though i'm not that interested in one with say 90. 80 seems to be par for the course and i think 75 and 6-7 CD is prob good enough

Yeah Like you. "good enough" Or you could have a level 55(lowest leveled SSin top 100) 96th in the HOF... Better than "good enough"

What i've seen between young CBs either high vision or high agility is that vision is way more important in pass coverage, while agility is way more important in run support. The high vision guys stay closer to their man and break on the ball much sooner than the agility guys, but they get pancaked and miss tackles much more often.

fwiw.

For EQ I'd try to go with:

Make Tackle %
Avoid Fake %
Pass Deflect %
Superior Vision

All speed attached.

Agility and vision (to a lesser degree) reach a level of diminishing returns, especially for DBs. Both are 83 on my FS without VAs.
