my kicker is level 51 with an effective level of 54. Looking at other kickers I see some that are like level 45 with an effective level of 60. Looking at their skill levels they are either equal or lower than all of mine. Why such the large difference? Never really knew how the effective level thing worked.

YOu would need to provide examples of said kickers for anyone to answer this question.

It's not possible that all their skills are lower than yours. It IS possible that their Kicking and Confidence are a bit higher yet you're higher in every other attribute. This is my guess anyway.

not a knock on his player at all. I just don't get how there is that much difference. The only thing I see is the vision stat.

Its the vision and slightly higher kicking.

The vision is part of it, but the biggie is the 6 points in kicking. At those levels, 6 points in kicking is calculated as 120 SP or so.

Essentially you switched off of kicking too soon and didn't go high enough in confidence, comparatively speaking anyway

Also appears you've spent points in SAs which hurts as well since SAs have no ALGs.

What is the average level these days for hitting 75 effective on a punter?

For non-AT punter/kicker, early 50s.
