i would leave it at 73. 77 is nice and all, but it starts taking away from other parts of your build. if you are going to raise another attribute to 77, go with vision over agility.

Truthfully a Man corner, all he needs is Speed/agility/jumping, and Vision. It's feasable to get them all to 80 and add all equipment to speed and let them AGL and be bad to the bone. You'll just have to stay off the field when it's 3-5 or less yards, or Power back. But you would be great for 2nd and 3rd and long. or zone.

well thats pretty much all you need if you intend on just doing pure coverage... although i would also throw strength into that mix. but the unfortunate thing about that kind of build is that you would get destroyed on sweeps and pitches.

False.

i dunno. back when duger was in USPL, he had 50 strength, 50 tackling, was 190+ lbs and still missed 16 tackles. i would hate to see what happened to a CB in WL with less than those numbers.

im not saying that the kind of build isnt feasible, and doesnt have its place... im just saying that if you do build that way, just be aware that you will have weaknesses, and will be much more easily exploited than other CBs. but to make up for that, you will be a force in pass defense.

very easy to do that 77/77 very easy, could have gone higher, should have went higher. But you stopped about 72 or 73 and let alg take over.

And he had the lower ALGs for much of his career. With the new .5 ALG, going 81, 77 is easily doable. A lot of WRs are going to be going to the 89 cap now with the higher ALGs. They will end up around 160 speed. You are going to have to keep up with them.

With the new ALGs and multi-training, I think 73/73/77 is the ideal route. If you do that, you'll be able to hit 145 speed, 90 agility, 95 vision (with FG), run 4 % AEQ, and have the SAs to support that AEQ. I'm not sure you'll pull that off by going 81/77. Also, WRs will likely be going to 91 base speed, letting them end up at around 168 speed. That's a lot more than 145, on a numerical scale, but in terms of GLB speed, 145 speed, 6-8 CD, and 7-9 SDC should be able to keep up well.

^and i think ~140-145 speed should be able to keep up those WRs with no issue, and 130+ speed CBs should be able to at least do a fair job. but if you go 77/73/77 speed/agility vision, you will wind up with about 94/85/84, which can get you 145 speed, 92 agility, 91 vision with FBG, and rounded out secondaries with solid SAs. i think 77 is a good cap to go for if you want to really be able to shut down WRs. if you want to do other things other than just be a complete shutdown CB (ie, you want INTs or to be able to -try- and get KLs), you need to take hit somewhere, and speed and or agility are likely places that those those SPs spent elsewhere will be coming from.

or what LH said. i actually think that might work better. i didnt run it through the builder, but i just did the simple math in my head, and his build is pretty much the same as the one i gave, but saves you about 20 SP that can be used in more secondaries. in my build, i got jumping to 72, strength to 54, stamina to 55, confidence to 50 and tackling to 50. those 20 SP could be used to take jumping or strength up cap, or maybe even used for more stamina... or a micture of all 3.
