Would Zone Focus be a good offsetting type of SA for when you are in zone situations OR should I go all out with Shutdown Coverage or is there an even better option than these 2?

NOTE: I meant this for a Strong safety and not a Free Safety

Some teams like to cover the TE with a strong safety a lot

that's true... I never though of that since I have always have a good coverage LB to cover the tight end.

neither. just load up on various % aeqs. either pick 2 to stack twice at 37.5% each, or 1 to stack twice at 37.5% and then 2 others at 25%

Unless you can get at least 8+ in SDC it isn't worth it. My advice would be the ZS to make you a more well-rounded player, though you'll have to invest almost as much in it to make it worth it as well. Really depends on your build, how do your AGI/VIS look (Do you NEED the boost in zone)? If you're mostly concerned with covering TE, SDC is a non-issue unless you have at least 61 jumping to make the PD. You don't have to give us everything, but some key stats would help with the decision here.

From that build I would say he does not need Zone Focus, unless your D coordinator is playing almost entirely a cover 2 shell. He has the agility and vision to do what a SS should do in zone without needing a heavy investment in ZF (especially if you get Super Vision to 10 as he matures). I don't really like your veteran abilities, but it looks like you are fulfilling a specific role with your current team with STer. Not really a fan of Long Reach either, seems to me there'd be better things to spend points on.

I am by no means a SS expert, but it seems to me that if you were to choose exclusively between SDC and ZF, you should go with SDC. Keep in mind that neither of those SA's are worth it unless you're willing to commit almost 20 SP's to getting them up pretty high.

Yeah I am helping out on the Special teams....that's why I have special teamer. Do you think I should go with a sub for long reach like Track star or Football Genius? And if I come off of Special teams anyone got any other VA suggestions?

Maybe enough agility, but definitely not enough speed. I agree with chronoaug - I wouldn't take either one. For man coverage, I'd pick anti-fake and deflect % percentage before SDC. Zone Focus has improved to where it's somewhat noticeable now, but if you split between man and zone coverage it's not worth it. I'm still trying to figure out if it is still worth it for those that play all zone.

thanks for the correction, I had meant agility and vision. He certainly could benefit from more speed. Also, I agree that neither SDC or ZF are ideal for this player, but I'm assuming he's asking about his extra SA, not AEQ.... though the OP never really makes that clear.
