Whats the pros and cons with high/low weight and low/high height?

I assuming that e.g. a heavy and strong NT is more likely to rev pancake than a light and strong NT - i.e. the weight is helping in the "pancake" game. But thats all guestimates.

Is there any solid info on this?

I know that higher players are more likely to PD, but thats all the confirmed info I have.

it "supposedly" works in much the same way you'd assume it would work in real life.
Heavier players are harder to push around and have added momentum and inertia when it comes to making tackles/breaking tackles.
Lighter players tire slower, move faster and change direction quicker.

Taller players see the field better, can reach higher (for PD)'s, and it's un-comfirmed but I always thought taller players can run faster due to long legs, but don't know if that's in the code.
Shorter players have a lower center of gravity, are harder to knock over, and can make cuts and change direction quicker.

This is how bort intended it... and yet some of the best power HB's have been lighter than 190, and some of the best coverage dots have been shorter than 6'1.

Draw your own conclusions.

that's because unlike in real life... the player build has more bearing than the actual measurables.

I agree that the build is the dominant factor, I was just wondering if anyone had done some serious testing.

impossible to do "srs" testing considering the multiple variables involved.

just ask jbolick, that mofo is testing day and night, he hardly has time to post in forums.

My general theory on DL is short and fat, but to test just make some 1-season dots and use the D leagues. Comparing builds with 8-10 in most stats and 50 in the ones you care about makes A/B testing pretty easy. Would be the same for height / weight, etc.

you can't promise that all the o-linemen you face are exactly the same or even similar.
Hence why testing this without being a tester is near impossible.

I am quite sure thats is not the case in the SIM today - at least there seem not to be any bort/catch quotes to confirm it.

taller players have a higher chance of getting PD's but it also depends on your jumping etc.
He's right on that...

as far as leg length, that's another story.

Does weight affect jumping ?

I mean, does a 360lbs player with 40 in jumping jump the same as a 180lbs with the same 40 in jumping ?

You know what they say about assumptions? They make an ass out of Bort and Catch.
