How muck speed/agility should a pass rushing LB have?

Speed 120
agility 90

I have an first step equip and will put VA into jump the snap, I have also been thinking about blitz SA or tunnel vision.

But I was wondering: since he has a high first step, and I wont use technique man, is 80 in agility enough?

He will be playing OLB in a 3-4 defense, so strength is also key.

I think the consensus is get speed as high as possible (I think builds now can get in the 160 range) and get agility as close to 100 as you can. That is on top of maxed first step.

Me personally, I'd never build a LB like this cause it's going to be a miss-tackling pancake magnet.

agility 85

Then you still want 70+ strength, vision, and tackling.

It's actually pretty easy to achieve. All you have to do is 81 cap speed, then 78 cap agility. Then you 68 cap vision, strength, tackling.

half right and half wrong. A good DC can place you where you won't even get touched on a pass rush like 80% of the time. Even then it's a HB picking him up or someone weaker.

i don't think this is always true tbh :\

and currently, closer to 135 speed is more realistic -- although in fairness if you're referencing new builds 145+ is pretty reasonable.

So am I half right half wrong that I WOULD build a LB like this cause it's going to be a miss-tackling pancake magnet, or I's never build a LB like this cause it's not going to be a miss-tackling pancake magnet? I'm confused on my own opinion, will you please give it to me?

No you're confused on how a good DC can use a blitzing ROLB.

I'd aim for 85, which is attainable without EQ. You'll need all your EQ for speed.

Yes. I might even stop at 77. The important thing is to get tons of speed.

Id stop at 77 too.. I regret investing too much into agility early

Yes, stop at 77 and invest the points you would use to get it to 85 in vision, getting it to a higher cap than you would.

I think he meant invest the point it would take to get agility to 85 into vision, not to bring vision to 85.
