Western Conference
Claremont Cocks vs. Nunavut Matters
Here are two 3-4 teams with a history as they both have contributed to the TOILETS thread. Nunavut's three wins are against KC, Nebraska, and Prince... Claremont's are Leaders, Windsor, and Prince. The prince scores were similar, but the offense of the Cocks' pounded the asses more than Matters'. For this reason I'm picking the stiffy's.

Providence Radicals vs. Widow Makers
I don't see any overlap between their schedules to this point at all, so there's no way to make comparisons that way. I'm impressed with Providence's (3-4) slaughter of the Walruses, and they played Jebediah's close, too. The big loss to Wolverines makes me question what they can do, though. Windsor (4-3) is coming off major losses to Queensland and North Bay, but their close loss to Niagara makes me think they can pull one out when it matters. If they gameplan I think they;ll win. We'll have to wait and see if their recent defensive meltdowns will inspire them to fix things, or break their spirits. Providence has proven themselves in past seasons, but they've joked about gutting with their frustrations this season. This young team will be one to worry about in the playoffs, I'm just not sure if they're up to that caliber just yet, or if they'll even make it. This one is pivotal for their position. I think they'll put in the work it takes.

St. John's Salty Dogs vs. Windsor Flying Walruses
Windsor got crushed by Providence, and Providence got humiliated by St. John's. Undefeated through half the season is pretty impressive St.J's, and it looks like you have one more easy one after this, but watch out, because I know there are some teams that are gunning to take you down (queensland, north and thunder bays).

North Bay Drift vs. Houston Vikings
North Bay had a hard time getting started, but have handily won four in a row against Widow, Windsor, Thunder Bay, and Windsor, three of which are potential playoff teams. Houston's only losses are to Village and Queensland, both run by WL management. None of their wins are against serious season seventeen competitors. Houston's got some talent, but I think North Bay has the pro experience to put together a winning gameplan. Watch for them to reposition themselves for a home playoff game, and extend the winstreak to five. Runner-up game of the week, but I don't think this will be as close as the other one.

Jebediah's Oblong Ball Club vs. Windsor Wildcats
Windsor has scored three points total in their last three games, I think Jeb's could hold them to another goose egg here. Windsor's looking like they could end up being demoted if they don't beat one of the other low ranked teams.

Kansas City Rams vs. Nebraska Maniac Gorillas
Not sure if KC can break free of this winless record, they look like they're almost a guarantee for demotion. Nebraska's only win this season is against Windsor, and Windsor beat KC pretty bad. This shouldn't be close.

Queensland Exiles vs. Prince Rupert Drunken Donkeys
Former World League team against a 1-6 club that has only beaten the winless team.
Enjoy the week off Queensland.

Montreal Rulers vs. Thunder Bay Wolverines ***Game of the Week***
Thunder Bay's (5-2) won two in a row against the young contenders Jeb's and Prov, and played Queensland and North Bay close in their two losses. Montreal (4-3) also played Queensland close, but has lost to St. John's and Jeb's as well. These two teams won't both be home playoff teams, and I think this one may determine the tiebreaker. I'm picking Montreal to win this one, seeking to right their mismatches against Jeb's and St. John's. Since TB beat Jeb, and Jeb beat Montreal, I'm calling this one an upset, but trust me it will be worth watching, expect a one-possession game.

Eastern Conference
Niagara Maulers vs. Hub City Hustlers
Niagara (5-2) was blown out by Cobden three games ago, and played Danzig in a one-possession game before beating Leaders by a ton. HCH's (6-1) only loss is to Village, and is fresh off a dominating win over Puvirnituq. Watch for HCH to settle in nicely at 3rd with an easy win over a playoff team, and continue their winning ways. GoTW honorable mention here, but I think Niagara's gonna be hurting after this one.

Paradise Cheeseburgers vs. Leaders Gaulois
#16 lolcpuburgers vs. #15 leaders gaulois. You'll win, but not worth watching.

Space Dockers vs. Hudson Bay Horrors
Space is 1-6 right now and nestled nicely near the bottom. HBH Needs some wins to guarantee that playoff spot, this could bump them up to 8th place.

Bloodweiser Bugle All Stars vs. Danzig Raytheon
Danzig's had a rough debut into CPL, and this one won't be an easy one. Watch for Blood to walk all over Raytheon this week as they continue their CPL domination.

Prince Edward Island Mi'kmaqs vs. Cobden Muskrats ***Game of the Week***
If PEIM hadn't lost to Niagara, I would be much more confident selecting them here, I'm just never sure what they're going to bring to the table. They had a convincing win over Sacramento in their last round, and seem to have corrected some defensive mishaps. Cobden has had 3 close games losing to Kashyyyk and Puvirnituq, and beating Nunavut. Since most of their other games were blowouts one way or the other, it's hard to tell what they're capable of. Both teams need a steady win here to prove they're worthy of the playoff bid. A loss in this #7 vs. #8 matchup could be detrimental to their playoff chances. Both teams played Puvi close, but I think PEIM has done more to prove they've turned things around. I'd be willing to give a 10 point swing in either direction, if someone thinks I've overlooked something, but I'm calling Prince by 7.

Puvirnituq Musketeers vs. The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie
Bastards are back in CPL, and want a playoff game. Puvi looks hurt as they got flopped around by HCH. The close matchup to Kashyyk shows me Flutie could pull off the upset, but I think Puvi's passion for playoff position probably puts them ahead in points. Totally biased opinion here, I just hope we don't lose is all.

Medicine Hat Witch Doctors vs. Sacramento Vikings
Sacramento is hurting right now after some tough losses to Puvi, Niagara, Blood, and Prince they need to pull their act together. MHWD hasn't had a close game yet, and have only beaten the CPU team. I expect their losing woes to continue, and low stamina confidence due to youth to work against them here.

Kashyyyk Wookiees vs. Village Dogs
These Wookies are on fire! Talk about a turnaround, with crucial wins over Bastards and Hudson this team looks like a top team! Their two losses to Providence and Hub City currently hold them back to 5th place right now, but they're hungry for a win. Village still remains undefeated, and have shown they want World League glory with their big win over Hub City, and by loading up dozens of scrimmages against the top Pro and World League teams in GLB. I think all that practice proves they can hang with the best of them, and I don't think Kashyyyk will have what it takes. An upset would shake the world, but I don't think they can pull it off. Watch for Village to remain undefeated and show CPL East why they're the best... around... nothing's gonna keep them down. GoTW runner-up, but I don't see the score being that close.

After going 15-1 last week, I'm 83-13 (86%) overall
and 7-1 in the East means 48-3 (94%) East overall

No doubt the games against Thunder Bay (Week 10), Queensland (Week 13), and North Bay (Week 15) are going to be difficult to say the least...but they're not the only teams left on our schedule. Houston (Week 16) always plays us tough, the Widow Makers (Week 14) are a solid young team, and Claremont (Week 11) has a strong nucleus of talented players. This is our seventh season in Canada Pro and we've never finished a regular season better than 13-3. One game at a time...

The Thunder Bay game will be a pushover. You shouldn't even concern yourself game planning against them. That's probably the best bet.

Probably don't even need your players to wear equipment or anything and they can just all play on Relaxed.
