Intoxxx's Commented Not Formula Based Power Rankings After Game 41. North by Gawd Texas Tornado Humpers(3-1)Don't have the 4-0 record like the Vendetta, but these guys have had the harder schedule in my opinion. They have played teams such as the Las Vegas Heat, the Cincinatti Stallions, and the Missouri Partisan Rangers. Their one loss comes from an extremely close 13-15 defeat to the Rangers. Their defense this season has allowed no touchdowns, and contributing to that is the one shutout. The team to beat in the West in my opinion.
2. Rochester Vendetta(4-0)The number one team in the conference yet again this season, having the best record yet again. However, I did not place them first due to what I believe is currently weak strength of schedule. We'll see whether the Vendetta are real or are just pretending to be #1. We'll see how good they do in the next few games, until then they are #2.
3. New Brunswick Sentinels(3-1)So yeah. Placing us number 3 on this list. I was considering placing Las Vegas here, but the fact they lost big in Game 1 is kind of an alarm. The Sentinels boast the #3 defense in the league, allowing 0 touchdowns(despite 31 points from FGs!). Only loss coming from the Rangers, who beat them using 5 field goals on a 3 interception day by Terence Chen. Defense seems to be the way the Sentinels have been winning.
4. Las Vegas Heat(3-1)Sort of the surprise team this season, the Las Vegas Heat have shown tremendous promise coming out of game four. They boast a top five offense, scoring at will on a lot of teams. Their defense however is leaving a lot to be desired. If you check out their secondary, you would probably think their pass defense would be shut down, however that is apparently not the case. This is a team to watch, maybe the Voodoo of last year?
5. Double T Red Raiders(2-2)Okay guys, I'm sticking my neck out here for you. You guys damn well better perform! lol.
Only reason these guys earn the five spot is due to: their insane defense. Second ranked, and two touchdowns allowed. We'll see how well these guys can hold up. Maybe they'll perform better if they can get some better plays from their offense
6. Missouri Partisan Rangers(2-2)The bipolar team of our conference, at least right now. Beating the #1 and #3 teams in my rankings, but then losing to two other teams. Tiger Jack Schwartz is a smart guy, and owns almost all of the players on his team. I'm pretty sure he'll get things sorted out, or at least we can hope. This team has all the potential in the world.
7. Round Rock 12th Man(3-1)The Round Rock Twelth Man started off this season looking much like last season. Round Rock was at 7-0(?) last season before beginning to slip, and they began much like that. They start 3-0 here, then lose to the CATAMOUNTS? I don't know exactly what to think right now. We'll just have to see how this pans out.
8. Olympia Dollar Ninety Nines(2-2)Olympia. I give you props. You have had arguably the hardest schedule of any team so far(and your next two games are going to be tough as well, that will be a gauge on how true you guys really are) and you managed to come out at a .500 record. Props on all of that, but I really can't do much until you guys play New Brunswick and the Raiders, that will be your test.
9. Houston Gamblers(3-1)I'm really reluctant to put these guys here, simply because they have had a cupcake schedule so far this season. However, no other team would fit here in at number nine. I doubt this team is for real, so I really don't wanna give them too much props.
10. New Orleans Voodoo(1-3)The cinderella team of last year is off to a "not-so-hot" start. They have had about the toughest schedule(same as Olympia) and came out at a one game down pace. This team has the players to compete and I really do believe this team will come back around and be the competitve force they were predicted to be.
11. Cincinatti Stallions(1-3)So this team has the cash. Whether the owner is an entrepenuar, or just a hobbyist; they are rich. This team is in pretty bad shape right now, I think they should spend that moola and get some higher level players to compete. Capeche?
12. East Coast Catamounts(1-3)Winning their first game today against an extremely tough Round Rock 12th Man team, the Catamounts could cerinitely be in a worse situation. They have a good bit of potential and I believe they will end the season around a 8-8 if they can keep what they did in the 12th Man game alive.
13. Miranda Reavers(2-2)The 0-16 team from last season, these guys have already won more games than last season(obviously). The two wins coming from the Catamounts and the 0-4 Majors. Not too much to brag about here though.
14. Jaraguá Breakers(1-3)These guys have played an extremely tough schedule, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their defense isn't very good, but I think it's due to the strength of schedule. Offense isn't that bad though, we'll see how these guys pan out.
15. DC Sonics(1-3)Yeah not much to say here for these guys, they just aren't very good. At all. Defense? Not good. Offense? Not good. Special Teams? Not good. At least they aren't the Los Angeles Majors, right?
16. Los Angeles Majors(0-4)Yeah. Bad. Very bad.
