imo:
tackling to 68
strength to 68
agility to 68
vision to 68
speed to 77
stamina to 48
confidence to 48

with that start I would do agility to 74, then probably strength and tackling to 74, then speed to 74, vision to 68, softcap jumping, stamina, and confidence. I think you made a terrible choice in SAs tbh. For a HH MLB I'd probably go with FS or SV, DGen, and MH AEQ.

Did you even look at your arch type while you created this guy? You should have been working on capping strength first. I know you want to shine in the D leagues.....but come on......bet you retire this guy before he makes it two seasons.

There really is no "best" way.

My guy, I did:

strength to 77
tackling to 73
agility to 48 (but working it to 61)

... to start.

There is not really any different way to build linebackers. They need a lot of speed and Agility. All of them. Then you look at whether he will be coverage (vision) or run stuffer( str, tack)
If I was to build a coverage backer I would go to Vision after Speed and agility to 77. and just cap str/Tack.
If I wanted a run stuffer I would go to str and tackling to 68 after speed/agility to 77. and just cap vision.
Use the right s.a's...
Run stuffers need things to help them get around the blockers. You need high agility and s.a's to help get around would be blockers.
Pass coverage backers can be build like Corners.
You just confuse yourself, if you think there is some special way to build linebackers. You need to balance them later, but to be good you need to work on the key attributes first, just like any other player.

Hard to hit what you can't catch.

which is why you work on speed, but you do it last.

your build will suck until get to work on speed, but working on it early will hurt your end build.

You don't need 120 speed to cover tackle-to-tackle, which is all what a Mike linebacker's job is.

Yeah getting tackles for loss isn't anything special. Just limit your player to cover tackle to tackle.

you can get almost 140 speed by going with speed to 77 after taking strength, tackling, agility and vision all to 68. 140 is plenty speed imo.

Zone focus and SV are 2 SA's you need as a MLB

First step and Change direction would be tons better, even shed blocks would be better.
