I thought from previous seasons, Pee-Wee teams got 5.5 mil to work with, but this season, it says my salary cap is 3.5 mil? Will that 3.5 mil raise once we start getting money from the games or how does that work?

I think you're just remembering incorrectly...

OK, so Pee-Wee teams only have a 3.5 min salary cap and no money from games and anything above that 3.5 puts the team into the red?

No, it actually makes the most sense to operate over the salary cap, and to actually spend all your teams money (but remember to include the luxury tax) which may indeed be more around 5.5mil, since this is peewee and we face no short or long term penalties to being over the salary cap besides the tax.

the salary cap and the amount of money you make in a season are independent concepts.

once you start going over the salary cap, though, you'll pay the luxury tax.

You can be over the salary cap, but you can not allow your money to go negative, they will take your team away, plus I think there is morale loss even for pee-wee leagues.

Dunno if Gold tix and snacks sell for more than silver but ~$750K over the cap gave me 200k or so to play with by day 32 after paying all my salaries, including the pending 8 days. I hadn't even thought of playoff revenue at the time but assuming you do well enough throughout the season and know you'll get some extra $$$ you can work those last 8 days even more. I left $2Mil on the table after our playoff run.

Its not like the other teams can possibly spend their $$$ w/out going over the cap let alone the small per team amount that the tax divies out. Now if they let us buy bobbleheads it'd be all different I guess.

From what I understand of the Salary Cap, there are two things that impact us.

1) if your team's available MONEY is in the red for 10 days, you lose your team and it goes CPU

2) if you are over the salary cap 3.5mil, you get no benefit from the morale bonuses (even if your team still has money).

Wait I don't think #2 is right after all...

I initially read this as morale reserve if over the salary cap but I guess I read it wrong.

It's like 10 days or more of being over the cap, so if you did the math right you could exploit the hell out of it.

I'm surprised by how many people still don't understand the Salary Cap system.

You only lose your team if you are negative for 10 days.

but if you're in the red you don't get any of the morale bonuses, so that's a terribad idea.
