Got lost in the other threads. I thought I would start a new thread, I can do this on a weekly basis if you guys supply me with headlines, etc.

Western Conference News (If you want me to add any news, send me a PM and I'll add it.)

http://goallineblitz.com/game/league.pl?league_id=52&conference_id=103

-... and then there were three.

3 teams remain undefeated.

Congratulations to RAVING MAD DAWGS 3-0-0 W3, Phoenix Resurrection 3-0-0, and Las Vegas Legends 3-0-0 W3

They've been established as the teams to beat.

-Clams break 20 game losing streak

With the addition of Level 15 HB Sam Keith, the Clams looked like a new team. Giving up one TD on the first play of the game, and another TD with 2 minutes left, the Clams dominated the rest of the game. Final Score 31-17.

-New defense released

Teams can now change two a 34 defense. Teams with great depth at linebacker will be able to use this defense. Good from teams with speed.

-Top 5 players

1. Chad Anderson, QB (lvl 19) RAVING MAD DAWGS-
Solid QB all around, best player on the number 1 team. Leads Western Conference in TD's, Yards per completion. Top three in yards, compeltion percentage, yards/game.

2. DOG RAW, DE, (lvl 19) RAVING MAD DAWGS- Already amassed three sacks on a defense that is only giving up 5.6 points a game. Also has 27 tackles.

3. Quintin Jammer, CB (lvl 15) H-Town Oilers- Leads league with a sick 13 Pass Deflections. Also has three interceptions and has a nose for finding the ball with 27 tackles. Teams better have a decent running game when they face the Oiler, you'll have a hard time beating Jammer.

4. Autumn Desroches OT, (lvl 21) Phoenix Resurrection- An amazing 45 pancakes in three games. Rock of the line of an offense that has averaged 24 points a game against great competition on their way to a 3-0 record.

5. Mitchell Maleckyj K, (lvl 15) Dallas Strikers- Get this guy near midfield and he'll put in through the uprights. 5/5 from 40+, 1/1 from 50+. Nuff said.

Also considered- Rex Vick, KISSESFOR FISHES, nil nospmoht, John Mayes

-Play of the week

Please PM entries for play of the week, I'll pick the top three.

Top 5 Teams

1. RAVING MAD DAWGS- Undefeated, top two players. Lowest start is a level 14.
2. Las Vegas Legends- Good team, can't wait to see if they knock of the Mad Dawgs.
3. Phoenix Resurrection- Till someone beats em, they default here.
4. Tucson Nighthawks- Play both Legends and Resurrection tough. I expect them to go on a tear.
5. Anchorage Maulers- Good win against Austin.

Next up: Austin Lumberjacks

Hope you enjoyed this.

Looking for feedback.

I want to know why Alex Casado didn't make it on top list or even considered. Also, I noticed you're a Georgia fan. The LvL team consists of about 98 percent of players whos owners are from Athens. The Dawgs are gonna rape this season.

a kicker? Must be a weak west if a kicker makes top 5.

Sorry to correct you but teams cannot switch to a 3-4 yet. The defensive AI screen is just a test and the settings in there will not affect gameplay yet.

What you're doing is cool, I disagree with some of your points but everyone has their own perspective.

Chad Anderson may be the best quarterback in the league but the Mad Dawgs defense is the strength of their team IMO (maybe we caught them on an off day).

If you're looking at kickers then you should give Steven Marshall (Anchorage) more than a cursory glance, hasn't missed yet and has hit 2 50+ yarders.

It's all good tho, it sparks a debate and gets people interested, but there is more to picking the good players than just going to league leaders. Other than that looks good and I appreciate the update.

wtf does hitting 50 plus yard kicks have to do with being a good kicker? Some good kickers dont kick due to their team scoring Td's instead of FG.

(dont include my kicker just yet.)

Funny. We have a level 18 QB and RB, a 39 rated green bar offensive line, Level 16 FB and TE, and Level 15's at WR, and you think we're all defense? Correct me if i'm wrong but we scored 88 points this season.

Thanks for the nod, but we're simply 1-2. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Btw, thanks for the effort on putting this out there. Piss on the naysayers. You took the time to contribute, I guess you can say whatever you damn well please. But that's just me. =)

i know throwing a kicker in there would be some controversy by putting a kicker there, but he has been awesome so far. Just because another kicker is a higher level, has better stats, or made one more 50+ fg doesn't matter. this guy along accounts for almost 60% of his teams point. Without him they are not 2-1, they are 0-3.

As far as chad anderson goes, i didn't "randomly" pick the leader on top of the pile. He isn't necessarily the most in any category, but he's extremely efficient, completes a high amount of passes, and has separated himself from everyone else.

Mad Dogs are definitively the team to beat. You are right, they has the best QB and a dominating defense.

Dukester100- The strength of the Mad Dogs is def on defense. In my options 5.66 points on defense a game is much more impressive than 29 points/game on offense. Like I said, they are the team to beat, what more do you want son?

I'm not sure where you are getting this dawgs stuff from... to come up with this I looked at all the teams, top to bottom, watched film, looked a competition, mutual opponents, and stats.

How else do you think I would put 1-2 team as number 4 in the West?

I can take criticism all day, but don't say I'm just propping up bulldog fans or whatever. I don't know anyone on GLB IRL.

It's true, the Mad Dogs are the team to beat so far this season. Their next 2 games will be considerably tougher, though, and I am interested in how they play against the MUCH improved H Town Oilers tonight.

Show me where I said you were all defense??? I think I said you may have the best quarterback in the league, I also know your offense scored 13 points last game. I didn't say you were all defense, you had a sucky offense, or anything like that. What I said and maybe I should bold this so you read it, the Mad Dawg defense is the strength of their team . Overall your team is great, you can be good at both offense and defense. It's not an either/or condition, nor does one necessarily eliminate the other. Your offense is good too, is that clear enough for you, or do you guys want to continute to get bent out of shape over nothing.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or not, I don't know who is higher level, I didn't bother to check. Steven Marshall is 8/8 for FG's, including two over 50 that won the game for his team, nor has he missed an extra point. Mitchell is 12/14 for FG's (I don't know if they won his games or not), and is 4/5 for extra points. He's probably a fine player, but I think a case could be made for Steven as well.
