I don't mean to offend anyone in gold, but when I sometimes lurk around in the gold forums I see a lot of people complaining about what a drag it is. Is it fun anymore?
My proposition is that we go back to the old league system, with X number of leagues that are randomly assigned. This will increase forum discussion about who is the "best" teams and will tbh lead to more scrimmages which will give more money to Bort.
The schedule should look like this
Day 1-21: League play (10 games)
Day 22-31: League tournaments
Day 32-41: Official tournament for qualifying teams. It will be a lot like March Madness in which conference winners (2 per leaague) will get automatic bids, and then there will be a set number of at large bids which will be decided by a script or by a selection committe.
Of course this will never actually happen but it seems like something that will be very fun and keep forums active with questions all season about who will get into the tourney, and then predictions once the final tourney brackets are released.
