Planning to take my guy up to 74 and then have 15 in Steady Grip which would take it up to 80. Is it worth taking it higher than that by SP or EQ?

That's a reasonable level of carrying, some folks would go higher but it starts to cost you in other important areas.
Basically a judgement call at that point I would say....
