i've never made a DE before i was looking around at builds to get an idea. i've seen people say take Agility to 77 or so, then Speed and Str, but i assume this is for if you plan on trying to get your dot to the Pros. i'm a non booster so im not trying to get him to the Pros or anywhere close.

i was thinking about taking Agility to 73 right away and then letting the ALGs build on that for the rest of his career. take Speed to at least 68 and then Strength to probably 68. i'd put all of his EQ in Speed. i would also be cap focus slow building him.

I would take STR to 73 first, then AGI to 73 then SPD to 68 you should be able to do that by lvl 40 and still have some SP for SAs

Solid build plan for a RDE. You would want to shift some EQ to agility and maybe strength if playing LDE.

Dont take this advice.

ALG after 40 dont matter. You ALWAYS follow your ALGs.

i know that, i'm not an idiot . i just wanted to hear his theory on why to take strength that high, that fast.

i'd like to think i know how to build a decent dot, i've just never made a DE before so i wasn't entirely 100% sure.

STR is pretty much THE attribute for breaking tackles. You can do what you want to do, but most of the elite teams ive been a part of have STR first DEs. If you want to dominate gut jobs and under lvl'd teams and get 50+ sacks a season go SPD. But if you want your teams to win, then i would go STR first. Just my opinion

If he takes his attributes to the extreme then he will never be able to round out his build. If he was a booster and was going to reach lvl 72 then you should take your first 2 attribute to 77 or even 81(thats what i do). BUT since he is only going to get around 200 sp for the whole life of his dot then i just wouldnt go that high. He wants to be effective for most of his career not just his last couple of seasons. If he takes his first attribute to 77 that will take until lvl 14+ with no other SP in anything. If he goes to just 73 then by lvl 14 he can have his first 2 attributes to working lvls for a 14 cap title run

That doesnt matter. Everyone loves str DEs right now. That doesnt mean you cap str FIRST if you plan on choosing the pass rusher archtype. Capping it 3rd and putting all eq in str is what I would do.

I hear ya though. My RE I built str first just so he could be relevant early in his career. I prefer that way before they added the archtypes.
