I really don't like picking my own team for the Game of the Week, but the only other compelling match-up this week pits the teams currently ranked 8th & 9th while the Salty Dogs vs. Drift is #3 vs. #4. These two teams played twice last season with both games settled by a touchdown or less. St. John's won the regular season game, but North Bay eliminated them from the playoffs.

Two "upsets" this week in the West. Winnipeg made the "Game of the Week" quite interesting with their three-point victory over the Oblong Ball Club while Prince Rupert beat up on the Nursing Home Rams (I'm suggesting a name change). I remember what a force those guys (Mark Shark, Greedy Speedy, Sacker Backer, etc.) were as they rose from AAA, to Pro, to the World League. Unfortunately, like Dan Marino, they stayed around a little too long.
