The Wife Carriers finished the hard part of their schedule before the season started and are just on cruise control till the playoffs. They should easily cruise through the playoffs on to the World League as well, but they have shown to have some issues with turnovers. There could be a surprise for them with the right game plan, but it will have to be a flawless victory for that team.

KKAR had the perfect schedule to help rebuild their chemistry before facing off with any of the top teams. The second half of the season will be tough, but they’re in a great position to secure a playoffs spot. I don’t think they’ll be competing for a home playoff game, but unless everything goes wrong they’ll get some post season play. They’re going to need to get at least 3 wins to avoid the 8th seed and a quick trip home.

The Battalion has to worry about the Brats and the Fancy Boys; outside of those teams they should close out the season strong. I won’t be surprised to see them finish off the season with only one loss either. A home playoff game will be lock for New Jersey, but they’ll want to make sure they can get the #2 seed so they can be on the other side of the bracket away from HHWC.

The Fancy Boys are going to be on cruise control till the end of the season, but they will have a brutal last two games as they gear up for the playoffs. Their fate in their rankings will be in their hands and a win over the Battalion could land them in the #2 seed so that game will be HUGE!

The Yell get to work on their fourth loss this week, but from there they’re on summer vacation as they won’t have a real opponent left. Downside is they could overlook everyone and lose an easy game. I’d actually look to CCIA for a big upset at the end of the season to mess up the Yell’s ranking.

Sitting at 5-3 in their first trip to the Pros has to make you feel proud; downside is your schedule is about to turn into a nightmare. If the MACHINE isn’t careful, they could end up with only one more win this season and they’ll need at least three to make the playoffs. There next game against the Brats will be HUGE for them, but I think their final game against the Beasts will determine if they get to face off with HHWC for a trip home.

The Brats loss against the Beasts will really come back to haunt them unless they can get an upset to close out the season. They have a must win game this week and then get to face off with the Voodoo; those games will really determine if the Brats make the playoffs or not. They are a strong team and I think they should finish off the season making a trip to the playoffs, but it’s hard to tell where they’ll be ranked.

Well the Voodoo beat the Beasts which was an important win and they’ll have a couple more games they’ll have to win, but it looks like they’re just not ready for the top teams in the league. They’ll be around next season and should be a lot stronger, but there’s a chance they’ll miss out on post season play; however, if they do make it, it will be a quick exit.


9 … Chicago Beasts … 3-5-0 … -3

The Beasts chemistry is still real bad and it’s hurt them in a few close games. They have some easy wins still on their schedule, but they’re going to have to pull an upset or two to have a decent ranking to close out the season. I expect to see them in the post season if they can keep those morale spirals at bay.

CCIA still has a few brutal games to close out the season, but they should at least split the last eight games. That’s not going to be enough to make the post season so they’re really going to need to take down the Voodoo and the GROWL to make sure they’re above them in the rankings. It may be a quick trip home if they do make the playoffs, but don’t ever look past CCIA or they’ll make you pay!


11 … SOUTH GEORGIA GROWL … 3-5-0 … -1

The GROWL still have some tough games on their schedule, but they’ll be facing some easier teams as well as the teams that stand in their way to making the playoffs. I can see the GROWL making the playoffs, but the key is going to be avoiding the dreaded 8th seed!

The Ice Weasels have at least one for sure win on their schedule and several brutal matchups to close out the season. There’s a good chance Ontario won’t see more than four wins by the time it’s all said in done. They are going to have to fight for an upset in order to make the playoffs, but I just don’t think it’s their season. Welcome to the Pros!

Their DC is back just in time for a much needed win to stay alive. Now they should pour on 2 easy wins before facing some actual competition. They’re going to need to win out in order to make the playoffs and they still have some winnable games to do it; however, they can’t lose to CCIA or to Ontario or it’s all over for them.

The Bucs will beat the Panthers and should beat the Blitz to stay in the Pros, but that is their playoff game. A loss there and it’s over for the Bucs. They won’t move up in the rankings so they just need to focus everything on the Blitz.

The Blitz are heading back to AAA with a win over the Panthers, but they’ve got a Bobble Head Night scheduled for their playoff game with the Bucs. A win there and they get to return to the Pros for another season!

The Panthers are AAA bound and hopefully will regroup; I don’t see them getting a win at all this season.

With their perfect chemistry and solid game play, they have remained the only USA Pro team to be undefeated this season. They still need to face off with five of the best teams in the East which could cause some problems, but DotA is in the playoffs for sure and will be fighting for a home game this season. Considering their youth, this doesn't look good for teams in the East next season if they don't go to the World League. These guys are for real and I have a feeling they will be the deciding factor for a lot of the rankings considering they close out with ATKM and Mentone Beach.

This has been Mentone Beach's best season to date and if you take away their young Punter, they're doing it with a roster with an average age of 480 Days Old. So by the time the playoffs come around they'll be closing in on that 500 Day mark and probably won't be able to do anything in the post season. They've been riding their defense and winning the turnover battle to survive, but they did lose when they lost the turnover battle. MBA is only going to do well if their defense holds up, but they only have a couple of big games left on their schedule. Their main focus will be to win the games they're supposed to win and try not to get surprised by a team. I can easily see the Assault lose another game and really cause a huge problem in the rankings where their solid defense is really going to help push them to the top.

Okay it's time for the Mice to really earn their record. They have two bye weeks left for the season, but all the other games will determine where they'll be in the rankings. I see the Mice in the playoffs for sure, but if they're not careful; they could slip right out of post season play. A lot of those close wins really doesn't show they can blow teams out so it's hard to tell if they'll be able to finish in the running for a home playoff game.

That loss to ACA is really going to hurt them in the rankings as they close out the season. A win there and the Kittens may have been in the driver seat for the #1 seed. They still have to face off with some tough teams, but they also have three bye weeks to close out the season. There's really no way to tell who well be where in the rankings to close out the season, but LBK will be looking for a home playoff game this season.

Well the last two games haven't been a picnic for ATKM, but they still have some bye weeks on their schedule to help them out. They will just need to focus on every game to ensure a solid ranking. I can see their matchup with ACA causing them problems, but hopefully with those bye weeks surrounding that game; they'll find time to secure that win. Their chemistry is a lot better and by the time they hit a tough three game stretch, it shouldn't be a problem for them at all. ATKM is one of the best and it's highly possible they won't lose a game to close out the season.


6 … Humboldt Killer Hornets … 5-3-0 … 3

The Hornets only have one easy game to close out their season, but have been a solid team this season. They still have some tough games to go and they'll need to finish strong to make sure they make the playoffs, but they showed you can't over look them with their win over ATKM. They do look to be one of the best teams that could miss the playoffs.

Seattle has some tough games on their schedule, but after their latest loss I'm sure they'll be a little more focused on winning. With the way things are shaping up, you'll need more than nine wins to secure a playoff spot and there are currently five teams on the bubble that will have to fight their way in. I would only assume Seattle will be playing in the playoffs, but an unexpected loss here or there and they could find themselves sitting this one out.


8 … San Diego Lightning … 5-3-0 … -3

The Lightning have dropped three in a row after their great start. They'll get two easy wins to finish off the season, but they'll have a lot of quality games to go. Their latest loss is really surprising and really makes me believe they could miss the playoffs. Their loss to the Fury and Paris could really hurt them as those teams battle to get into the post season. Their matchup with ACA will be a HUGE game for them as well. I'm not sure San Diego is ready for post season play this season.

The Mist have had a rough season, but their chemistry is a lot better and they look to have one of the better schedules to close out the season. Knowing how good the Mist are, I could see them raise up and compete for a home playoff game; however, nothing is for certain in the East and they'll have to focus on each game.

Just as things seem to be turning around for the Fury, they have a close loss to the Mist. They have some tough games still to come, but they could easily make the playoffs with some key victories. I'd like to see them in the post season as they can surprise any team and make for a great opponent.

Their win over the Lightning shows they can really play up here in the Pros, but looking over their schedule; it doesn't look like they can play in the post season. There's a good chance they won't finish off with more than six wins this season. I'd like to see them take down another top team before they make the playoffs as it would probably be a quick exit.

ACA has two more for sure wins on their schedule which will help them, but they're going to need to surprise a couple more teams if they want to make the playoffs. If they get eight wins, they still may not have enough to get in. Their games against Paris and Tennessee will be HUGE in getting them into post season play.

The Generals will get one more win this season, but that's it. Those three wins will be enough for another shot at the Pros next season and a lock for the 13th seed, but it's time to start recruiting.

Rosewell will only get two wins this season, but that's just enough to stay around in the Pros for next season. Downside is they still need to resign their roster and their forum is as dead as they come. This may be their final season.
