How good do you want your CB to be? You can easily take speed/agility to 77 and still end up with a rounded build. You'll just have a rounded out one that can end up having 110+ speed/100 agility.

110 speed/100 agility is easy enough by going 68/68. Going 77/77 just means you're going to be giving up sps elsewhere.

Like where? having 80 vision with that isn't good enough? Or 70 jumping? And by what level would you hit 110 speed/100 agility with that? If it was so easy more than a handful of corners would have that.

If you've done it right, you can hit 110/100 at your plateau season (though I'd go 115/95 or even 120/90). As for your other attributes, you need more than 80 vision and 70 jumping. What will your SAs be? What will confidence/strength/stamina/catching be? Do you plan on having any % AEQ? Ideally, you should run 80 vision, 70+ jumping, 60+ (closer to 65) catching, 50+ strength, 50 con/stm, 40+ tackling, 8-10 SB, 8-10 SH, 10 SV, 10 SDC, 4-6 CD, PD% AEQ, INT% AEQ, and another INT or Avoid Fake% AEQ.
If you plan to go to 77 on speed and agility, you'll be using an extra 60-80 sps over going to 68/68 or 73/68. That's a pretty big loss of sps for little gain.

this. my lvl 49 CB for example should be hitting 110/95/82/70 speed/agility/vision/jumping byt the end of his career. and he went 68/68/68/65 vision/agility/speed/jumping, and i didnt even build him super efficiently. 68/68 is really the way to go. or at most 73/73. the extra SPs you spend on speed and agility arent worth the minimal gain you get. for example, i think the difference between 68 speed and 73 speed is only 3 points in the end build... is it worth the extra 20 SPs? meh i could see an argument for it. well what about taking it to 77? i think thats only another 2 points... and that is not worth the extra 24 SPs.

I really don't understand what you are on about with the difference between 68 and 73 being only two points.
The only way that I can see the difference between 68 and 73 is less than five points is if you count the ALGs when between levels. Then you aren't talking about that being worth the extra 20 SP but rather the extra 12 or 16 points.
Is that what you mean by the difference between 68 and 73 being only 3 points.

After a certain point, ALGs work as fast or faster than adding SP.
On the way from 68-73, some of the cost is paid in ALGs that occur while you're waiting for SP. These ALGs would occur whether you're advancing another cap or not, and they do. So if you take two identical builds and one stops at 68, the other goes to 73, the end difference is less than 5 because both builds gained the same ALGs.
Same for every successive cap after the first.
Also, since ALGs are a very important factor in leveling, I can't condone any position taking an attribute above 68, which I believe is the most comfortable zone, unless it's absolutely necessary. The reason is that ALGs on one, even one really high attribute, will not compare to many high attributes - the overall gain to your build by spreading points around as early as possible (while still hitting caps and raising attributes sufficiently high) will outweigh the gain to the one attribute. This can easily be evidenced with math, but I'm lazy.
The reason I like 68 is because at 68, you have a mixture of:
1. An amount that's easy and relatively quick to reach
2. Seems to give you enough time for training your next attribute before moving on
2. All future gains are 4/1, so the payoff is pretty good
Higher or lower values seem to sacrifice one or more of those elements, but by all means use what seems best to you.

Do you really think that a level 10 player should have invested all the SP he will invest in his career in speed? It seems very early to me.
Thats when I am going to hit 68 speed. Well ALGs will bring my CB to 68 then I'll still have 5SP to spend.
