A hell of a lot of people have been requesting this to be done, and since Sean Bishop is concentrating on doing Western only I have had a shot at the East.

1.Eleven Wise Monkeys 3-0-0 Opp. Record 0.556
Last week: N/A High: 1 Low:1
Where do I start, well so far it seems as though the Monkeys have continued where they left off last season (barring play-off lost to Rockstars). Of the 3 undefeated teams they have had the hardest schedule beating my #5 and #6 ranked teams. There toughest game without question was there most recent against the Nighthawks. Without a doubt there Week 5 match-up against the Warriors will tell who is truly #1.

2. Bristol Bullets 3-0-0 Opp. Record 0.222
Last week: N/A High: 2 Low: 2
The Bullets have made a strong start to the season and have already beaten my #4 ranked team. Although as with the Warriors they have played my two lowest ranked teams which makes their start a little less impressive, however a victory over New York Hope in their next game should secure their place as #2 team in the rankings.

3. New York Warriors 3-0-0 Opp. Record 0.111
Last week: N/A High: 3 Low: 3
The Warriors have gotten off to a very strong start, and are tied for most points scored with the Monkeys and are =#2 on points conceded also with the Monkeys. However they have had a fairly simple start to the season beating my #15 and #16 ranked teams. The proof will be in the pudding when they face the Monkeys in week 5.

4. Alcatraz Island Jailbreakers 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.667
Last week: N/A High: 4 Low: 4
The Jailbreakers have made a strong start to the season and have impressive offence displays in their last two games against a couple of decent sides, after a close loss to the Bullets in Week 1. There next two games are against 0-3-0 teams so dont bet against them going 4-1-0 heading into Week 6.

5. Boston Massacre 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.556
Last week:N/A High: 5 Low:5
After an opening day defeat to the Monkeys, Boston have improved well and have beaten the Dallas Rampage on their way to their 2-1-0 record. I would be slightly concerned about their defensive display, allowing 13 against the Retros, a similar performance against the Knights next week and a Nighthawks victory would see them fall in my rankings.

6. Louisville Nighthawks 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.444
Last week: N/A High:6 Low:6
After opening 2-0-0, the Nighthawks suffered a Week 3 loss to the Monkeys but unlike most teams managed to record several interceptions and compete well against their O-Line. The most concerning thing for me is their offensive displays so far, only scoring 39 points and only 17 against the Zoners.

7. Cleveland Firebirds 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.333
Last week: N/A High: 7 Low: 7
Cleveland have had a nice start to the season recording victories over the Musicians and Knights, and only loosing to the Jailbreakers. However, they only beat current basement team Hartford Musicians by 4 points which should be a concern for their OC. They have a chance to improve on this performance as they face TCC next week and a strong performance should consolidate their place in the rankings.

8. Dallas Rampage 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.333
Last week: N/A High: 8 Low: 8
Two shout-out victories and a defeat to Boston has lead to a strong start to the new season. They haven't done much wrong in their victories but the current records of their opponents is why I have them ranked so low. A week 5 match up with the Nighthawks should show where they stand.

9. New York Hope 1-2-0 Opp. Record 0.778
Last week: N/A High: 9 Low: 9
In theorey I should have Hope ranked higher as they have been beaten by highly ranked Nighthawks and Warriors, and beaten 2-1-0 Sharks. I would have to say they have had without a doubt the toughest start to the season and in the next 3 weeks face teams with a combined record of 7-2-0, so if they can pick up a couple of victories they will rise greatly in the rankings.

10. Miami Sharks 2-1-0 Opp. Record 0.111
Last week: N/A High: 10 Low: 10
The Sharks are 2-1-0 due to playing #14 and #15 ranked teams, and were soundly beaten by New York Hope in Week 2. Their schedule however has taken a turn for the worst, as next week they face the unbeaten Monkeys. I cant see them making the playoffs as they have several holes in their secondary and on their O-Line.

11 . Baltimore Knights 1-2-0 Opp. Record 0.444
Last week: N/A High: 11 Low: 11
Despite starting with a loosing record the Knights have put up some impressive numbers on offence. I cant see their defence holding up all season as they have a few low levels on defence. And face a tough task next week against Boston.

12. Syracuse Souls 1-2-0 Opp. Record 0.556
Last week: N/A High: 12 Low: 12
Two shoutout losses in a row has the Souls ranked #12, and #12 is roughly where I see them finishing the year unless they make some improvements on both sides of the ball.

13. Richmond Retros 0-3-0 Opp. Record 0.556
Last week: N/A High: 13 Low: 13
The Retros have had a poor start to the season, and the only victory I can see them realistically pulling off is next week against the Syracuse Souls. Other than that their schedule is difficult for the next 6 weeks facing teams with winning records.

14. Colonial Zoners 0-3-0 Opp. Record 0.556
Last week: N/A High: 14 Low: 14
3 straight defeats, 3 straight 9 points games, and by the looks of the things life isnt going to get any easier for the Zoners with with games against the #2 Bullets, #3 Warriors, #4 Jailbreakers and #7 Firebirds. Hopefully the second half of the season will prove more friendly.

15. TCC's Wax-Bustin Warriors 0-3-0 Opp. Record 0.889
Last week: N/A High: 15 Low: 15
It seems a little unfair to have TCC ranked as low as #15 as they have faced 3 top #10 teams, however with the points they have been putting up and conceding I have them ranked here. However I think their side is better than their current ranking, but this conference so far has proved very competitive.

16. Hartford Musician 0-3-0 Opp. Record 0.889
Last week: N/A High: 16 Low:16
A difficult start and by the looks of chemistry a lot of changes have the Musicians rooted to the bottom of my rankings. They appear to have some high level players mixxed with some lower levelled players which has probably led to their 0-3-0 record. They have a difficult task next week trying to get off the mark with a home game against the Jailbreakers.

Yeah I kind of thought that but until beaten, i cant really drop Bullets. I think after next weeks games the rankings could possibly change quite a lot

The good thing about our win today is if we can get through our next 2 games with wins, we may* have secured homefield advantage with some of the other teams having some early season losses (totally unexpected btw!) and some tough inter-conference matchups for Louiville and the Warriors!

*disclaimer: this is in no way gauranteeing that we will have homefield through the playoffs or that we will even GET to the playoffs, its merely an off the cuff comment based on the way the early season has shaped up so far!

You got it a lot closer to right. And I agree that the rankings will likely change a lot over the next week or two.

Thanks to Luke28 for giving us something to talk about.

It's hard to argue with you based on performance. The Nighthawks have sputtered offensively so far. Two times inside the Monkeys 1 yard line, only netting 3 points? C'mon!

That said, the Hawks have the offensive personnel and coordinator to put it all together and be a scoring machine. I see that happening sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your thoughtful insight. I'm looking forward to watching the Nighthawks move up the rankings...

Also, although Massacre seem to have a loaded offence, there defense is lacking in several areas.
