do LO's or RO's ever use the Wrap Up SA, either from gear or the extra SA? I know MT% is generally useful, but what about the SA for tackle improvement?

I have a combo arch LOLB and I was thinking about my 4 AEQ pieces, and I thought about MT%, Super Vision, Wrap Up, and maybe Change Direction, Zone Focus, or BB% for the 4th piece.

I just want to try a new build type really, the stats are pretty much going to be status quo, but I wanted to play with the SA and gear choices. I pretty much wont put any points into their current trees. They are both disappointing to me (for LO's at least).

I think you'd be better off getting tackling higher than dedicating 2 pieces of AEQ to tackling. The attribute comes into play on everything to do with tackles whereas the wrap up SA doesn't help on diving tackles, which can make up a lot of attempts for a LOLB.

has anyone tried it recently though? and i thought DTkl wasnt that popular a choice for LOLBs. Maybe that could be the piece instead of Wrap Up.

I would rather have one MT%, one SDC, one SV, and then if you are going for four, probably something other than WUTck or DTck. I like to get about 4-5 in DTck but I think that's enough.

I am currently trying the wrap up tackle, it helps if you have lots of speed and does not rely that much on forcing fumbles.. It also helps when you have VA like Death Grip.. And add VA Brick Wall to contain the RB and FB..

Actually, Diving Tackle is a very good choice for LOLB's since they need to have high jumping. And if it's a coverage LOLB then it is a favored SA (not sure how good the favors are, but it has to be a little better).
