Today I've made my first TEs one of whom I'm going to keep, and I thought up this building strategy for them:
4th cap speed
4th cap catching
4th cap agility
2nd cap carrying
2nd cap strength
2nd cap vision
2nd cap stamina
2nd cap confidence (pretty weird that's not even a minor attribute, but whatever)

Do you think that's possible, and do you think it'll result in a productive player? Thank y'all!

Are you going to leave them there?

I guess so... What do you think?

Hmm, try this instead:
In order of spending,
5th cap speed
5th cap agility
4th cap catching
4th cap vision
6th cap speed
5th cap catching
6th cap agility
5th cap vision

Then you can continue speed and agility if you want, or you can start pouring points into SA's. You don't need strength or confidence or carrying until you reach this point, if at all. There comes a time when increasing an attribute is too costly, so you make up for it with EQ and SA's.

But without any strength/carrying, how does one catch passes over the middle?

You'll still catch them because it's the Catching roll. Holding on to them is another story. But, they fixed the Knock Loose thing a few seasons ago, and it isn't much of an issue. You want to spend points on Major attributes, that is what makes your player great. If at some point you find he is dropping a lot of passes then you should worry about Carrying. It gets ALG like the rest of your Minor Attributes, and is never really insufficient.

Way too much vision, and you don't need that much in catching as well.

So leave catching and vision at the 4th cap, and buy SA's instead. Either way, he will be a stud.

This build completely neglects STR/CAR.

"But, they fixed the Knock Loose thing a few seasons ago, and it isn't much of an issue. "

This is not true. In Pro leagues you need at least 60/60 carrying STR to consistently avoid KLs.
Also, there is no need to get vision past 60 or Catching past 68.

If you want, you can think of this as the first part of the build, perhaps to level 38 or 42. After that, as the player gets ready to go into the Pro's, he can work on Strength and Carrying, which should have gotten to a decent level from ALG.

i dont understand the 6th cap agi and speed, by the time you get there ALG will do it to you. and i think 4th capping is enough therewas calculations about it that difference will be about 1.5 points (i kbow its interesting but try it in VPB).

The reason why I think it is a good idea is so that your player can peak a little earlier. You can set your speed and agility and if you want, you never have to go back to it, and you become competitive. If you only take it to 68, you won't keep up with some of the other positions. I know most of the pass coverage LB's go to 77 right off the bat.
