How do the leagues work? Do you get promoted when you make the playoffs or stay where you are? How many teams move up/down if any?

Every Copper goes up to silver, we've never had a case where there weren't enough spots in silver for all the coppers.

So many teams get sold that almost every team that has existed for one year will be in silver next year. Silver doesn't get demoted. And there are usually enough silver teams that fold that all of the copper teams move up. IIRC there have been a few copper teams that didn't move up, but they've been really, really bad...like 1 win max. But I could be wrong about that.
But the morale of the story, is pretty much everyone spends a year in copper and moves to silver.

Yea, but I think it was just a mistake that they didn't get promoted, probably got mixed up when they changed the last 8 copper leagues into level 4 leagues.

Thanks for the info guys. Do they bundle all the dominant teams into the same silver leagues or try and spread it out evenly?
I know they went with elite/competitive leagues in casuals...
Also, Do they announce where you're going or do you just find out once you're there?

In the past I know that silver7 has often received a lot of teams that were in copper together.

It's weird, S3 East got 3 Copper Champions this season,
Who Dot (requested move to 7)
Tinies (requested move to 5)
