What would be a good distribution of EQ? Strength and Agility? Agility and Blocking? I plan on taking Strength at least to the 3rd cap, possibly 4th before moving to Blocking, then Agility. If that matters at all. Thanks

Hate to add to your question instead of help answer it but you need to decide if you want a long term great build or if you want your FB to perform now. If you look long term you should maximize your Strength/Blocking now so that it will grow for his entire career, then follow with Agility/Speed/Vision. But if you want to be effective right now, you'll have to work on all of them at the same time and it will severely hamper your build in the long run.

Remember, you also want to be fast enough to be able to get out in front of your HB to actually be able to be useful.

Depends on your build goals... do you want a demoralizing blocker or a technique blocker? Pretty much, the attribute capping sequence will be the same regardless of build, some things might be a little more of a priority, but overall it's minimal difference. I.E. you might work strength 3rd on a technique build and work it first on a demoralizing build, you'll end up with the same overall attribute total, but merely swapping a handful of points from one attribute to another one... this is only really an issue if you min/max EQ bonuses (which is uncommon on a blocking FB).

As for EQ splits, the demoralizing blocker will want as much strength/blocking/agility as possible and it will also influence your AEQ/VA selections (stuff like pancake SA, first step SA, showboat blocker VA, etc...). The technique blocker will want as much blocking/agility/speed as possible and it will also influence your AEQ/VA selections (stuff like hold block +%, get low SA, downfield blocker VA, etc...).

The demoralizing blocker is all about the pancakes. The technique blocker is all about holding blocks and maneuverability. Both are effective, just in different ways. The demoralizing blocker is looking to wear down opposing defenders, making them worse as the game plays out. The technique blocker is looking to tie up opposing defenders, allowing the ball carrier to do his thing. Demoralizing blockers are best suited for teams with average HBs and technique blockers are best suited for teams with good HBs.
