Whatchya think? Sammy tended to play ROLB if memory serves, seasons 1 to 10 tearing up the Canadian leagues with the Bedford Rats and 11 to 14 climbing out of the minors and into Oceania AAA with the Miracle.

A lot of the SAs are worthless. I wouldn't spend on anything except D Gen for M/ILB, and perhaps shed blocks.

As for the build itself, more vision would help him in coverage, not so much for a pure blitzer. More speed would have def helped him in blitzing. And the catching, that was a waste. I mean I know it helps get ints, but really, don't worry about it as a line backer. Maybe train it late in career.

How you build your next one will depend on AT and what you want to do with him.

I did not build him for blitzing so much as pass defense, though his first ten seasons were on a team that often blitzed him.

I thought a 107 speed wasn't bad for a LB?

Vision was too low, I agree.

And yes I had the notion that catching went into pass deflection, so spent wasted time in training or boosting it with my secondary back in the day.

If he was built for pass defense he is low on vision, and wasted at least 3 levels of SP in SAs (probably b/c it's a season 1 build). Agility looks good, jumping just slightly low would like to see 2X cap. It's a great build for a season 1, IMO.
