The projector improved from 6-for-8 to 7-for-8 in the East, why not do the same in the West? The Montreal Rulers team that went 3-5 in the first eight games may well finish 6-2 in their final eight. If they do finish 9-7 they may usurp Houston or Nebraska for the final playoff spot as they beat both the Vikings and Maniac Gorillas. The projector didn't like them last week and got it wrong...and they're not favored this week either, but it's Game of the Week material either way.

I shouldn't rush these things. You're right, though...and it may bode well for you. If Nebraska / Houston / Montreal ended up in a 3-way tie, the tiebreaker is points allowed, right? Houston's given up 365, Nebraska 368, and Montreal 406. After today's games hopefully the picture becomes clearer...

A three-way tie wouldn't have "head to head" wins.

Let's say Winnipeg, Nebraska, and Montreal all finish 9-7. Two of the three teams are in, but one misses out.

Winnipeg beat Nebraska, but lost to Montreal.
Nebraska beat Montreal, but lost to Winnipeg.
Montreal beat Winnipeg, but lost to Nebraska.

That's the essence of a three-way tie. It would then go to points allowed. After today's games both Winnipeg & Nebraska are tied with 396 points allowed with Montreal trailing by 47 points at 443. That'll be a tough gap to make up.

A different scenario would occur if Surrey beats Montreal and both Nebraska and Winnipeg lose...with all three teams finishing at 9-7.

Surrey beat both Nebraska and Winnipeg, they'd be in with the #7 seed. They would've won both "head-to-head" matchups, so it doesn't go to the next tiebreaker (points allowed). Same thing for the #8 seed...Winnipeg beat Nebraska, so they're in and the Gorillas stay home.

if Winnipeg looses and goes to 9-7 there could be 3 teams for the last 2 spots & if Surrey win that would make 4 teams for the last 2 spots all at 9-7 if I'm looking at it correct ! LOL too complicated !
