here's the gist of it, 20 team or 15 team tournament depending on the agreed upon length of the tournament in which top teams from each league play each other each year, but stay in their home pro league. Then each year the top 2-4 teams in each league play each other determined by what's in this thread that is tl;tr

I think this game is getting more and more complex. Adding games more often than every 48 hours would probably be a bit too much. When they are non-competitive games like you see in a lot of leagues it might be ok since you don't have to do anything really for those. I would hate to have a tough matchup and then another tough matchup 4 hours after that, or even the next day. I don't think a lot of people want to feel like they have to spend the time it might take to gameplan more often than every 48 hours.

What would you think about shortening it from 20 teams to 15 teams? Then you would have 3 group stages of 5 teams and a 6 team bracket after, that would make it a total of 8 games total in the process, should still be enough, or maybe shortening the tournament to 10 games total, what do you guys think would be an acceptable number of games that a pro league team could do extra over the course of 5 days of preseason to the entire post season?
