You shouldn't have put skill points into speed yet. Not too late to fix at all. Being a Hard Hitter, your major attributes are Power, Strength, Vision, and Tackling. Make sure to work on those attributes first.

power? do you mean agility? also you have 10 in all your non useful attributes. honestly you would be a LOT better starting over, keeping things like throwing & punting @ 8, focusing on ONE attribute at a time by starting with a higher value in either strength, tackling, speed, agility, or vision, training it and your second highest attribute on intense until you have enough SP to raise that highest attribute over 48.

Oops, yeah I meant agility. Maybe I shouldn't post that early in the morning
At what point would you move on to speed on a hard hitter Darren?

jmo but early. usually I would say, plan out what you want your guy to look at day 360/400 and then work backwards, but we can't really do that now. If I were building a hard hitting MLB (not OLB) I would want 80-85 strength, 90-95 speed, >80 agility, 70 vision (with eq). I'd also strongly consider keeping strength <80 and loading up on DvG and tackling instead which is working pretty well for my LB lately.

strangely i've never put points into those attributes so who knows why they are there.
so there's really not one attribute better to start with than another?
i was originally trying to create a MLB but when i signed with the cpu team it automatically kicked me out to OLB

there's no consensus on what to start with for LBs because so much is required. many people start with strength, because it has the lowest number of intense training combinations, better to get it done early. others think it doesn't need to be as high and speed is going to end up higher (agility as well) and rather get those started first. next season will debut a new training system which somewhat negates any advice regarding training combinations.
really it's up to you to decide what emphasis you want on your player, as long as you have a general idea of what you want your guy to look like in the end (and do in the end) and build efficiently with that in mind (instead of haphazardly), he'll be good enough.
