ya, just retire. Don't feel too bad though, everybody has had a nooby build in their time here in this game.
You want to train strength/tackling until you have enough skill points to cap strength. Get strength to 77 ASAP, while you are doing that train agility + tackling, then once strength is 77 then get agility to 77. Then get tackling to 68. Then start training speed/stamina. Don't put any points into special abilities, I know it sounds good but don't do it until later levels. You want those points put into attributes because every time you level up, your main attributes go up too, so you want those points spent there! This game takes a long time to learn and every season there is something different about how you should build each player.
