Texan's Mid-Season SEA Top 10
Once again take this with a grain of salt. This isn't the BcS, so my opinions mean nothing to the majestical "sim". This is also a snap shot, as opposed to how teams will be at the end of the season.
Elite
1. Saigon Whores: Best win so far: 36-17 over The Blue. Not only is the 17 against Blue the most they've given up during the regular season, their only losses at all were close scrims against upper tier WL teams. They would be a playoff WL this season for sure, much less in the Pros. Their offense is wicked and they don't have a real weakness other than an owner that looks a lot like Boomy. Projection: Super Wok.
2. Tet Offensive: Best win so far: 51-24 over Bangalore. This is really more of a 1a as I think Saigon and Tet have separated themselves from the pack. This doesn't mean they can't be upset somewhere along the way, but it would be a surprise. Tet might also be able to compete this season in the WL and they are just rolling. Projection: Super Wok.
A Notch Below
3. The Blue: Best win so far: 58-28 over Semarang. Ya, I know there are two other undefeated teams but I think the Blue beats both of them this season. Not a WL playoff teams like above, but they have rep'd SEA very well against other top Pro leagues this season in scrims. Projection: day 38.
4. Buffalo Rampage: Best win so far: 35-27 over Lucid. They started off a bit shaky and haven't had the toughest of schedules so far but you have to give major props to Buffalo management for keeping them undefeated so far this season. I don't think they have the horses to take out Tet but you just never know until the game comes around. Projection: day 38.
5. Tibet Psychonaughts: Best win so far: 40-35 over the Monks. That win over a tough Monks team really got my attention, but so did the lackluster performance against HKH. Tomorrow' game against Saigon is not likely to go well but stranger things have happened in this game. Projection: day 36.
Contenders
6. Semarang Red Dwards: Best win so far: 59-0 donkey punch of PDP. They had the pressure of the streak taken off right away and have since been playing some great dot ball. Like I said in the preseason, the age of that offensive line is a huge concern (unless aging just doesn't matter as much as I think). Until that kicks in they are a nasty team. Projection: day 34.
7. Lucid D.R.E.A.M.: Best win so far: 44-35 over Bangalore. I'm really not hating on garuda THAT much but really Naga is just much stronger. Lucid would definitely be a Naga playoff team and they are pretty nasty top to bottom. Projection: day 36.
8. Portland Dirty Penguins: Best win so far: 41-14 over SLS. PDP got off to a really slow start early in the season and didn't really pick up steam until they got an extreme makeover on offense. Look out now though. We'll find out more against the Monks in Naga's long standing current rivalry. Projection: day 36.
9. Palembang Drunken Monks: Best win so far: 56-3 over CMM. PDM is really in a dead heat with PDP. They haven't notched a win over a top 8 team in Naga yet but they also haven't played many. Like I said above, we'll find out more tomorrow. Projection: day 34.
10. Three Kingdom: Best win so far: 52-44 over Semarang. Ya, they beat Semarang week 1 and I ranked them lower but I think if they played at this point it would be different and I am ranking this as a moment in time. Despite that, you have to respect TKW for pulling together a roster that is sitting at 7-1 right now. Projection: day 34.
