Is this insane? Or insanely worth it?

What it doesnt say til you put it on is its for CB's.. wether it helps DE's I have no idea.

meh - not a big fan of blitz on D-line. DEs natural SAs are much better.

YOu would think a boost to agility and speed would be the best SA, but I hear so many negatives about Blitz that I am afraid to even try it.

Rage.. when we changed and chose an archetype and got a bonus SA.. even when you clicked "only show SA's for this type of player".. it came up with stuff that you had no idea until you chose it was for another position??

Still not very happy about that.. what was the point of clicking the box then?

Blitz works for a DE, it just isn't enough of a boost to make that big a difference. Even when it says it works for another position, it will work for any position in the situation described in the write up. Bort needs to take the mention of position out of the SAs. He never did it when AEQ was opened up so that you could get SAs that didn't fit your position.

I have no idea why Blitz isn't better for DL than it is, but it's been tried by several agents (including myself) and I haven't heard of anyone who has seen really good results. I saw some results for my DT when he had it, but FS was 10x better once I changed over.

Maybe because dl players don't blitz?

Linebackers, corners and safeties blitz, dl players don't.

in GLB, anyone going for the qb is a blitzer

The way the game is coded

When you set the DPC, there is an assignment for each player.

For DL the choices are
Blitz
Cover Zone Shallow, medium, deep, immediately

When you select the blitz option (which is the default), it means that for the purposes of the sim, your player is blitzing on every pass play regardless of position.

a blitz counts if there are 5 men rushing the QB

Not in GLB.

A Blitz is anytime any player rushes the passer.

I personally hated Blitz. I once gambled on it for an elusive DE of mine, stacking a whopping three blitz pieces. Worst mistake ever. I compared my speed/agility to another elusive DE teammate of mine who was a pure SP token booster and the token booster performed insanely better. No contest.

Think about it, what would you rather have?... Three pieces of Blitz AEQ totaling 144 tokens or 144 tokens converted into 36 SP's w/ the +5 temp boosts? It would be different if elusive DE's had sucky stock SA's, but they don't. In fact, Shed Block and Tunnel Vision are some of the best SA's in GLB (imho). I'd rather pour the 36 SP's into my DE's stock SA's than pump them into AEQ.
