The Experts put Week 1's interconference play in the books with a 4-1 record that featured only one real surprise: either Semarang isn't as good as we thought they'd be or Three Kingdom Warriors is a lot better than we expected. My hunch is that it's a little bit of both.

But with Week 1 behind us, we can now focus on Week 2 -- when the games break back into their conferences and everyone starts jockeying for position in the standings.

Joining us this week are a few familiar faces from last week's expert panel -- Polor, Dujo and CMON. Dujo and CMON decided to tackle the challenge of picking for both conferences, but Polor stuck with his own in Garuda.

The new voices for this week include MadCow (who might currently be banned but we got him anyways), Victory Jones (who missed MadCow like a lady of the night misses visits to a free clinic), MDterps (who thinks Ben Roethlisberger is a dawg) and driftinggrifter (who singlehandedly put Bort's kids through college with is dots). MadCow is joining Polor to pick Garuda, while MD and grifter are taking aim at Naga. Victory is taking the league-wide plunge.

Once again there are a bunch of duds on the schedule, but there's also some potentially good games. For my money, these are the most intriguing matchups:

=============HAOLE'S GAME OF THE WEEK =============

Tet Offensive (1-0) at Bangalore Monsoon (1-0)
GARUDA CONFERENCE

It almost seems a shame to waste this game so early in the season, as two of the top contenders for the Garuda crown square off right at the start of conference play. But from sheer interest alone, this game is off the charts.

Last season, these two teams didn't meet until Week 16, with Bangalore ekeing out a thrilling 13-10 win to clinch the No. 1 seed in the conference. But in the Conference semifinals rematch, Tet got rolling early and held off a furious Bangalore rally to earn the right for the Offensive to get beat by eventual champion Krungthep.

So far this season, these teams look like they haven't missed a beat. Tet spanked Golden Hill 141-3 in the season-opener, racking up almost 950 yards that included two 300-yard QBs and a 6-TD game by running back Rampage Highwind. Bangalore had a bit of a tougher opponent in the Cambodia Assassins, but the Monsoon still managed to earn a yardage advantage of almost 2:1 inlcuding a pair of 100-yard running backs.

Which team will be victorious this time around? I wonder if one of our two resident Tet experts has an opinion on that.

"After a regular season, Tet redeemed themselves in the playoffs by beating Bangalore to advance to the conference finals, only to get pooped on by the Garudas," said Tet owner Polorl69. "That was season 14, this is season 15. Tet has finally learned the meaning of lolpreseason. While that will never be an excuse here at Tet, and we fully expect to pad our stats vs the Monsoon, we are not taking them lightly. After the offseason aquisition of Quinn's (former Bangalore OC) MVP QB Melvin Sniffleberg, MLB Lenny Abromawitz, and SS Jamal Oakley this game clearly means more then a lolpreseason game. Tet has the best passing attack in the league, Bangalore probably has the best pass defense in the league. Do we want to assert our will on them or do we want to run on them like we did in the playoffs? Will our egos take over or our smarts? Time will tell. This will be a great game, one of the best regular season matchups of the season. Both clubs have mutually respected each other for seasons now, may the best team win!!!!"

In case you were wondering, he picked Tet to win 48-17 in "one of the best regular season matchups of the season."

Do the other experts agree? Yep.

THE EXPERTS: Tet 5, Monsoon 0

<0> CMON <0>
A rematch of last seasons LOLGaruda's conference semifinals. Tet avenged a regular season loss and knocked out the top seed. Since then a lot has changed for Bangalore. Namely QuinnQn2. He has joined TET and this is a highly anticipated matchup for both sides. Almost like when McNabb returns to Philly for the first time. TET has too much fire power for Bangalore this time -- TET by 17

<0> Victory Jones <0>
GOTW IMO... The Monsoon have always played Tet tough but this is the season for the Offesive to show us their Tets... QB Mel Sniffleberg,a former SEAPL MVP, is off to a redhot start as he makes a run at the SEAPL HoF... Tet shouldnt lose a lolregseason game.

<0> MadCow DTD <0>
This was a great matchup last season, but Bangalore is a much different team. Without Quinn to carry them,(The OC or The Agent) I expect them to struggle. Bangalore has always been classy, but classy is boring, Tet by 13

<0> Dujoman <0>
GOTW in SEAPL! Two of the absolute top teams go at it, but I have to trust in the builds of Tet.

=============THE BEST OF THE REST =============

Victoria Teabaggers (0-1) at Portland Dirty Penguins (1-0)
NAGA CONFERENCE

The Teabaggers are a prime example of why it's so hard to predict how new teams will fare when they make the jump from AAA to Pro. On paper, they're as good as any team in the conference. But the games aren't played on paper; they're played on lagged-to-shit servers and custom fields that sometimes look like they were drawn by a drunk 5-year-old.

I have to admit, I thought the experts had it wrong last week. I thought the Teabaggers would sneak out of Buffalo with a nice eye-opening win in their official Pro debut. But the Buffalo D stymied the Victorians so much that their punter was listed as one of the game's top performers. Then again, Buffalo is probably the hardest team to predict in the entire league, so how much did we actually learn from this game?

Portland is trying to cement themselves as a legitimate contender for the Naga title, and since I still think the Teabaggers will end up balls-deep in the SEA Pro playoffs, a convincing win by the Penguins here would make a definite statement.

THE EXPERTS: Penguins 5, Teabaggers 0

<0> CMON <0>
Teabaggers kept it close with Buffalo, but I don't know if thats indicative of the Teabaggers being better than they were in the regular season or the Rampage having low chemistry. PDP already handed Buffalo a 34-point preseason defeat and are looking like a top 4 team in NAGA. PDP by 42

<0> Dujoman <0>
Teabaggers had a rough W1 against a brutal Rampage team, and the schedule is doing them no favors this week either. Welcome to the pro's!

<0> Victory Jones <0>
PDP methodically dismantled an undermanned, underleveled Singapore Canes team, in a game that was never close... that said, PDP did cough the ball up twice... VT has a solid D that had 6 sacks, 2 INTs, a pick six and FF against Buffalo... but in the end, PDP is straight solit, top to bottom and I cant see the VT Offense generating enough points (if any) to pull out a win. PDP 50 - 3

<0> driftinggrifter <0>
Both teams played similar games in Week 1, with PDP on the top end of theirs and the Teabaggers on the bottom end. This week should be no different with the SEA mainstay, PDP, coming out on top. PDP wins 32-10

<0> MDterpsBBall03 <0>
PDP will take this one pretty easily. Penguins are way cooler than teabaggers.

Semarang Red Dwarfs (0-1) at Cambodia Assassins (0-1)
NAGA CONFERENCE

The Red Dwarfs were the sexy preseason pick to take SEA Pro by storm as rookies, and maybe even become a rival for Saigon's Top Dog status in Naga. But Week 1 threw cold water all over that early prognostication, causing major dot shrinkage.

The Dwarfs ran head-first into SEA Pro's most successful World League franchise, Three Kingdom Warriors, who most people had written off as a team ready for the glue factory. TKW showed that it's too early to write them off, however, by snapping Semarang's three-season winning streak.

The Assassins also got a really tough draw in Week 1, picking up the defending Garuda regular-season champions in Bangalore, and the Monsoon rolled to a comfortable win. How well will the Assassins adjust to this rude early-season welcoming party in the Pros?

THE EXPERTS: Red Dwarfs 4, Assassins 1

<0> CMON <0>
Semerang's shootout with TKW has tempered some of my feelings about them. I still think they are good, but maybe not top 4 good. Huge problem in their pass D allowing almost 400 yds on 23 attempts. Cambodia Assasains fared better than expected against Bangalore. I think Cambodia is susceptable to the run and I expect Semarang to continue to pound them where they are vulnerable. Semerang by 17

<0> Dujoman <0>
Both teams were paired with two of the better teams in Garuda, but I still think the Dwarfs are a top team in Nagaplease.

<0> Victory Jones <0>
The Assassins have the misfortune of playing the Dwarfs... and despite their early season stumble to TKW, SRD has one of the top rosters in the league and a very favorable schedule to do a lot of damage in naga.... SRD in a rout. SRD 56-10

<0> drfitinggrifter <0>
SRD took it hard to TKW in week 1, but their defense let them down for the loss. I don't expect that to happen here with SRD showing the same offensive prowess and a better defensive showing in Week 2. SRD wins 40-21

<0> MDterpsBBall03 <0>
I'm gonna say our fellow team from Cambodia wins because I have to show our little brother some love. Even though they will never live up to the Cambodia name.

Hong Kong Hustlers (1-0) at Palembang Drunken Monks (1-0)
NAGA CONFERENCE

The easy gut reaction here is to jump on the Monks, who opened the season with an absolute beatdown of Garuda's Samurai and are expected to be a top 4 team in Naga. But don't overlook those Hustlers. Yes, Hong Kong has made some strange roster decisions (like carrying 4 QBs but only 3 DTs), but across the board their dots look pretty good and they're a team that can suprise you if you overlook them. But do any of our experts think they can come up big enough to beat the Monks? Nope.

THE EXPERTS: Monks 5, Hustlers 0

<0> CMON <0>
PDM knows how to shut down Power Backs. That means you POWER TOOLS. If you look at his stats when he is held under 100 they lose. I think PDM will do that this game. This is one of the better games of the week. PDM by 7

<0> Dujoman <0>
KHK had a soft W1, PDM even more so. PDM by less than 5.

<0> Victory Jones <0>
D-Monks look strong this season... deep at all positions with very little dropoff between starters and backups... looks like most positions are mentored up for the D-monks... it will be a tall drink of water for HKH to keep it close. But I think this game will be a lot closer than expected. D-monks 41-12

<0> driftinggrifter <0>
HKH suffers their first loss of the season, not because of lack of talent or game planning, but because anyone with a HB that has a set of tits like this http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=694178 is going to be tough to beat.

<0> MDterpsBBall03 <0>
The Drunk Monks will out-hustle the hustle and take this one by a score.

Singapore Canes (0-1) at Flint Cobras (0-1)
GARUDA CONFERENCE

Yeah, it's not a marquee matchup, but in a week of otherwise blasé Garuda games, this one does look mildly interesting enough to rise to the top of the heap. The Canes looked pretty sharp against a stacked Portland team, and with their chemistry on the rise, this might bode well for a potential playoff spot. The Cobras nearly beat a feisty Mountain Men team despite turning the ball over five times. Who will come out on top? The Experts are torn.

THE EXPERTS: Canes 3, Cobras 2

<0> Dujoman <0>
The pro experience of Singapore will prevail over the lack of it of the Cobras. I also hear that Canes are great to kill Cobras with.

<0> MadCow DTD <0>
Cant say I know much about either of these teams, Neither was impressive in lolpreason, or week 1. Flint is trying to prove they belong, while Singapore is just trying to show they are better than a 5 win team. Both teams will look good this week, but its because they are playing each other, Singapore is just less crappy, they win by 10

<0> Victory Jones <0>
Flint is one of the better lolgaruda teams and shouldnt have any problems with the Canes as the SC need anotheer season of growth and a full roster to really be competitive... Flint in a walk. FC 54-13

<0> Polorl69 <0>
I blew my load on the Tet v Monsoon matchup, No disrepect to the Canes but just going on ratings. Flint 50-10

<0> CMON <0>

Let me just say this.... there isn't a better DC in the game than Bangalore's Jimmek1, and I'll fight anyone who thinks they can prove otherwise. I guarantee you, with my guys on Tet now, he'll come up with an absolute masterpiece of work. I won't be comfortable until this game is in the books. Good luck Steve and Jimmie! Looking forward to the game.

Great write ups!
