i know that 2 games of scrimmage may be a little early to ask this but my lvl 1 power back had 8 catching.
He has 8 catches and no drops in those 2 games. I seem to remember dropping about 40-60% of passes when my catching was this low for my other RB.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Wheres confidence at? CAR/CONF help. I think a lot of passes to RB are dumps. VIS and raw CATCH ability are not that big on those. routes against a OLB etc youll prob see more PDs and drops.

Random is random. That is all.

The reason for that Raw dog is that your QB prolly has semi low throwing skill and strength, so if it was an actual pass this is why. If it was a dump it is the reason trichrome said. Also Catching depends on how fast you were going and how good the guy who's covering you is.

oh no.. at the higher levels we are seeing catch being more important on the HBs, who used to be able to skate by with sub-capped catch no prob.. not so much anymore

idk i dont find it being a huge problem. my level 62 HB has 23 catching and still caught 80% of the balls thrown to him last year. then again he doesnt get thrown to all that much so that could be a factor, as well as the fact that he wasnt playing in a great league

they are talking about this years preseason.

Dump passes must not require high catching, he's now 15 for 15 with no drops. I could have sworn that wasn't the case last time i made an HB.

sounded to me like he was talking about his level 1 hb, who just had his first couple games, not specifically just about this preseason
